Gotcha, yeah I don't believe any reinstatements were included in our quote. We need the replace the cast up until the PVC line (we have a newer extension), so I don't believe they'll be messing with drains.

I'm pretty certain we're moving forward with USA, as trenchless capability is limited in the area—so encouraging to hear the positive comment. Did you consider anyone else at the time?

What? Our roads and infrastructure are no better, schools are literally on fire, his handling of the monuments was terrible and caused tons of division in the community. He promised us a nuts and bolts boring mayor and instead we got a divisive, political, big development over the wishes of the people guy (Navy Hill, casino). He’s spending a ton of time doing things to further his career and ambition, not our city (like that ridiculous black mayor group he’s the head of). I’ve also found him very divisive - he showed his true colors when he said people were racist if they didn’t vote for the casino. I’m also really worried he’s majorally kicking the can down the road with the combined sewer issue. This is going to be a huge financial drain on the city and we need to start tackling this soon. Instead, we get nonsense like Richmond Real (which to me has strong overtones that if you don’t look like Stoney, you’re not “real” Richmond). I can’t believe that under his leadership, our school system has gotten worse. Our community used to have a very respected police force, and that trust was shattered. He’s the one appointing the leaders of these institutions.

Right, I'm down with all that. That explains why buffets tend to not get really high reviews in general, not so much why they got worse recently. Doesn't automatically mean it's an issue with the buffet in the case of the latter, sure. Could be people have way higher standards and bitch more about perceived issues now; customers have been particularly awful as of late. Still, there's SOMETHING going on recently. This is one of the few times I've taken online reviews seriously, because of the timing. Just wasn't worth the risk since my friend can't get out the house a ton with a new baby. I'd risk it for myself though.

I have friends that rave about this place but the one time I went it felt pretty ran down to say the least. We should have walked out the second we were seated at a dilapidated booth and given plastic forks. The Hibachi station was fresh and good but most of the other food looked and tasted like it had been sitting there all day. The dessert bar also consisted of stale off brand Oreos and pans of loose cereal. Hunan East really needs to bring their buffet back it really was the best in the city!

I did the same analysis and reached a similar conclusion but I also recognize there is inherently a bias in online reviews. Outside of people who routinely review restaurants online most people who have satisfactory experiences aren't running to make reviews whereas the likelihood someone would leave a bad review over a cold item in the buffet is far higher leading to potentially an overrepresentation of bad reviews.

Kinda why I started the thread.... in any event they're always a bit of a gamble.

Pitbull, the bite strength myth is a… myth and they tend to be submissive. Labs are tenacious, I wouldn’t want to cross an angry one. But tbh what I really wouldn’t want to cross is a human that hates pitbulls https://www.whsv.com/content/news/Man-sentenced-to-5-years-for-killing-Tommie-the-pit-bull-558575931.html

lol what? black voters freaking love her. McClellan is amazing at speaking to different groups of people. If you think she’s only good at talking to white progressives then you haven’t listened to black women loving on her time running the Richmond alumni association of delta sigma theta sorority.

She rolls up to the Capitol wearing red on Delta Day just like Louise Lucas does.
