I agree! I think there is some resentment too because forest hill is not 45-50mph right up to that. Not posted speed but actuals.

This is frustrating to me. There are ways to resolve these issues. The fact that they don't happen makes me very skeptical of neighborhood concerns about it.
Closing the little gap next to the McDonald's on Old Westham should be sufficient without meaningful inconvenience for the homes there. There are more things you could do based on how much residents actually care about traffic.

If the Wawa near 288/64 is typical for a combo food/gas store, I can understand why residents would be hesitant. That Wawa overfills at lunch time.

I’m usually distrust all politicians except our Virginia ones, regardless of party. Shame a good leader had to pass on.

My incredibly friendly, people-loving herding dog mix suddenly and inexplicably nipped a jogger out of nowhere one day. She’s one of the best behaved dogs you’d ever meet-listens immediately, aims to please, very bright and calm. She had never displayed that behavior in her life, and at 7 years old, in a completely random moment, she went out of her way in an instant to nip the thigh of a jogger. She was off leash and I was inexcusably in the wrong. This was the thousandth time we had gone on an off-leash walk and probably the thousandth jogger she had ever passed, and for whatever reason she acted in an unpredictable and unprovoked manner. Thankfully the jogger needed nothing more than a tetanus shot and doxycycline, and even more thankfully he didn’t press any charges against me or call the police. I paid for his clinical care and RACC put her on a two week probation quarantine/house arrest. I’ll never again assume that my dog is not capable of unpredictable behavior again, or that I’m not beholden to the same laws as others.

Gov Youngkin has to call for a special election for that seat. So now we wait.

I suspect the biggest issue is their separation of cell phone from internet service, with not all stores knowing anything about the home services side; only the cell phones. It's not always clear which type of store it is.

You don't get it.
Everything you just described is precisely how free speech is supposed to work. Speech that is unpopular is ignored or denounced in favor of speech that isn't. Just like the free market.
If I have a business that isn't popular, it's upon me to change the perception of my business or change my business. Same goes for speech. You are entitled to say anything you want and others are free to go another direction. No one is stifling free speech.

Not step down, I guess I mean maybe he shouldn’t have run for re-election.
Obviously he was healthy enough to be in congress while going through treatment, but did voters who elected him 3 weeks ago know his cancer had come back?
Again I’m conflicted on this, he was a great rep, I voted for him whenever he was on the ballot.

The VA Supreme Court isn’t crazy partisan either though.
And the maps are fair, it’s just that the district with those cities in it will be insanely Dem.

Walking an unleashed dog that attacks a person should be treated the same as shooting a gun into a crowd. You took the risk
