Short Pump has enough critical mass that if the mall were to close the neighborhood would survive just fine. It would likely just be replaced by some sort of huge residential development (or more likely mixed use project like West Broad village).

The mall certainly played a huge role in the development of that area but people move there because they see it as a desirable place to live and way of life and not necessarily its proximity to the mall.

Honestly happens all the time here. I’ve learned which streets to not take to avoid this stuff. My commute is honestly probably just a couple minutes longer BUT it’s consistent so I can plan my schedule. Some other roads are quicker but the frequency this happens has made me find an alternative route which is much more consistently clear. I suggest doing the same.

Not a single word. And it will be a car wash too. Across the street from Tommy’s. Between two tacky ass vape stores. NIMBY’s act like this is some nice ass neighborhood, but it’s not. It’s just a normal, American, shit ass thoroughfare.

Have you ever even met an immigrant without a visa? Do you know most of these people work for less than minimum wage and avoid anything that would put them under the eye of the public in fear of deportation. You literally cannot get state/federal unemployment/welfare without a social security number. Please educate yourself before blaming the disenfranchised for capitalist failure.

>Good, he wanted the fucking NATIONAL GUARD to take away guns from law-abiding citizens, we do not need tyrants like him

Lemme guess, he was in favor of defunding the police, outlawing all guns, and forcing all women to have abortions, right? Yeah, no.

It's easy to make false claims about people. What you're referring to (and misquoting/misrepresenting) was him saying that the National Guard may need to be called in to help enforce constitutional laws involving guns in areas where law enforcement refuses to enforce those laws. In other words, taking guns away from law-breaking citizens, not law-abiding ones.

So your claim is completely false. Check your facts before making such wildly false claims and show some freaking respect. How would you like it if your orange savior died and everyone responded by saying that they're glad because he liked to grab women by their crotch? Even though it'd be a valid/true claim, it'd still be disrespectful. So show some respect dude.

I seem to be recovering but with a cough that flares up with even the slightest exertion. I really hope it doesn't linger for weeks as I'd like to life weights again

I don't believe I ever had the honor of meeting him, though I had met his wife a few times. I used to work at Pizza the Hut on Wilkinson Rd and she would come in from time to time to get a pizza. Maybe he came in once in awhile, I don't recall. I remember her though because of her coming in regularly. Very respectful woman and anytime I've seen either of their names on a ballot, I would vote for them. If I ever come across her again (in person), I definitely plan to let her know how her respectfulness stood out to me and led to me holding both of them in high regards. When it comes to people that died too soon, he's definitely on that list. I wish he could have lived a much longer life, he deserved to continue doing what he apparently loved to do.
