Worth pointing out the fatal accident on the East side of Lakeside avenue a few months back where a car was T-boned killing the driver. Traffic needs to be slowed down on that road in a big way.

I really don’t understand why Dumbarton/Azalea needs to have lanes as wide as I64. I mean it dead ends into Staples Mill and Laburnum so it doesn’t really connect anything major or even industrial areas like Hilliard (which also is a massively overbuilt road). I’d like to see some large traffic circles on Dumbarton at Impala, Cottage and Hermitage and just eliminate those stop lights. Add another roundabout on the other side of Lakeside avenue. Some sidewalks and protected bike lanes (preferably with Jersey barriers) would be great too as well as pedestrian bump outs. It’s just a massively overbuilt road that feels like it’s a 55 mph zone and changing signs to 35mph and even stepped up enforcement doesn’t change that one bit.

If you're using fiberglass insulation, make sure to wear long sleeves and gloves, those glass fibers are itchy when they imbed themselves in your skin. A mask would be a good idea too. And make sure you only stand on the joists, anything else and you'll find yourself in the room below.

You may want to put an order in for at Lowes or the Home Depot sooner rather than later because a lot of people like to tackle these projects over the weekend, and you might want to have it delivered, especially if you have a large attic because it takes up a lot of space. Overall, you should notice big improvements in having your attic insulated...

Good luck!

Call Richardson’s Rescue. They are in Mechanicsville but they are great. If you are willing to foster the baby, the organization will set up and pay for the spay/neuter, the vet and even food if you need that help. They’ll do all the interviews and vetting for the new owners so all you really do is take care of the baby. She’ll come to you if that’s helpful and she’s really great. Frank and to the point but really great. They also have options if you don’t want to foster the kitten. And if you find someone here who wants the kitten, the organization can do the vetting process and make sure it’s a good fit, you just give them her contact after she’s done the like initial paperwork/phone call.

I will send you a dm soon! I’m gonna save anyone who expresses interest especially if they have another cat that is obviously loved already. I know some people want a first cat but since I don’t have time to do as thorough of a background check as a rescue seeing a happy kitty already there will make me feel like it went to a safe place

We don't have politicians, government bureaucracy, or even political system that can be trusted with limits to the right to defend yourself. We know what lists lead to. And we know criminals won't follow the law, anyways. Nothing you suggested would have stopped this drug deal from happening in the corner of a WalMart parking lot.

Change isn't hopeless, but it starts with growing individuals - at home and macro-economically - not with infringing people's rights.

Going nowhere because of that work from home life. Enjoying the dreary drizzle out the window - it helps with the "ahh I want to go play outside" FOMO.

I take it just to avoid I-95. Plus if you are getting a room in DC finding one with parking is a hassle and more expensive. Driving in DC isn't my idea of a nice weekend getaway either.

It would be nice if they added a dedicated Richmond to Union Station option with no stops to decrease the ride length.
