Fellow boild peanut efficinado here! Yeah, you're not gonna find them. I saw them in a random station all the way out in Smith Mtn Lake but they were still just the peanut patch ones in a heater tray. The Walmart Neighborhood Markets seem to have the canned ones pretty often. The Cajun ones are 100x better than the original flavor. Other than that, you gotta beg someone going on a Carolina beach trip to bring them back for you. (Which I've done many many times)

I mean, I hover between 35 and 40, and like I said, Im typically on the higher side of speed limits, but once again, KNOWING how many cars I see pulled over, I don’t see the purpose in going too much faster. 45 maybe if you don’t realize, but 50 is too fast and you have any road awareness you should be able to realize this.

Revised, with a pubmed study on the average strength of a dog bite to compare a pitbull’s bite force. They don’t have weak jaws, but they have a comparable bite force to that of a Golden Retriever and one weaker than the American Bulldog’s. They are normal dogs.

Breed bans on dogs lead directly to the mistreatment of animals, which, scientifically, leads to poorly behaved dogs. The anti-pitbull misinformation you’re trying to push gets dogs and people killed, and it is always important to keep that in mind after a tragic accident like this one, because that is when anti-breed legislation tends to get passed.

And the website I’ve seen you cite, dogsbite.org, is a misinformation website. The CDC can be an excellent resource that goes into why dog bite reporting isn’t always reliable.

Going by your logic, you would really have to hope that all they want are your possessions.

It’s important to assess each situation and make the best decision you can with what little time you have, but you can bet your ass that my wife, who parks on D deck every day, is carrying pepper spray going forward. If you want to give the benefit of the doubt to potentially violent criminals, then I wish you the best of luck with that.

None of us know the exact details how it went down, what floor, how close to an exit, etc. but don't pretend that spray and run is never a viable strategy, especially in a relatively well trafficked part of town in broad daylight.

Who is talking about fighting them? Pepper spray isn't for subduing it is literally just to disorient to give you a chance to get away.

Obviously a gun is better but the point of pepper spray is if you are forced by your employer/state to otherwise disarm yourself it is better than nothing.

Yea but that’s not always the case. I whip into my driveway (at around 10mph) for this reason, but at a certain point, you gotta accept that diff people have diff cars and driveways. Someones Miata takes an incline diff than a Jeep. That being said, if you have a massive dualie truck and you drive up inclines like you just learned how to drive you should be ordered to donate your vehicle.

Edit: to add, to someone going 35 mph, slowing down to 10mph is a drastic difference, so I think ANYONE who doesn’t have this more calm perspective will be upset about a 25mph slowdown.

One other thing...I know you didn't want canned but Whitley's Peanut Factory in Innsbrook offers boiled green peanuts.

While I haven't had that particular variety, everything else I've had from Whitley's has been absolutely amazing.
