By combining a robotic system with a beehive, scientists successfully warmed and resurrected a honeybee colony experiencing a perilous winter condition called chill-coma. The “robotic beehive” also let researchers monitor heat patterns and map colony activity.

Phase 1 study: New medicine extends terminally-ill cancer patients' lives. Seventy percent of the patients who tested the medicine were stable after six weeks. Twelve continued the medication and were stable for 18 weeks. One woman took the medication for 17 months, and was stable for over two years

A Swedish study found elite male soccer players are 1.5 times more likely to develop neurodegenerative disease compared to population controls. A previous study from Scotland suggested that soccer players were 3.5 times more likely to develop neurodegenerative disease.

Galaxy changes classification as jet changes direction. In PBC J2333.9-2343, the jet changed its direction drastically by an angle of up to 90 degrees, going from being in the plane of the sky, perpendicular to our line of sight, to pointing directly towards us.
