Yes, we know caloric restriction works, my point wasn't to point out that it doesn't work, my point was to point out that we don't know that it leads to better health because of the lower caloric intake or because of other associated factors as was profusely discussed in the study you linked.
Your second link discussed research suggesting that when we eat is important as well, which we have also known for a while, but this has nothing to do with determining the reason why caloric restriction leads to better health and longevity. We still don't know if it's the associated factors that are responsible rather than the lower intake of calories itself.

I've very glad that more research is being done in regards to weed, it seems very important to me and one of the biggest issues with the war on drugs was how it made no effort to improve out understanding of drugs in order to improve outcomes. I mean obviously the incarcerated people are the biggest issue with the war on drugs, but the lack of research was another big one and I'm glad to see it's being corrected now.
That being said there sure have been a lot of weed-related posts in this subreddit recently. That or maybe they're just the ones most likley to hit the front page or my post feed.

What’s the aspirin dosage recommended?

Interesting read on Aspirin vs blood thinners - where AFib patients are concerned or hi risk stroke.

As with all research confirming suspicions I don’t always even know I have, I will say, “Makes sense”

I don't think humans evolved with an abundance of food so periods of not eating help with many biological processes I think

Reply to comment by OMEGA__AS_FUCK in People from the poorest backgrounds are far more likely to develop a mental disorder later in life than those from wealthier beginnings. More than half of people with a low educational attainment at age 30 will have a diagnosis of a mental disorder 22 years later by Wagamaga
I’ve thought about this for a while. It’s nice to at least see more studies on the subject

Thank you. Yeah, not sure why my brain jumped to edema, given the topic. Crossed wires I guess, but then that's also why I like to confirm initialisms.

Outdoor grow weed is WAY better than indoor. If you can keep it unpollinated anyway.

1361W/m^2 at Earths surface is how bright it is, we can easily simulate and supersede that.

Pulmonary embolism*.
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is the better umbrella term.

Interested in this also. I was diagnosed with a genetic blood clotting disorder right when I turned 40, being told I have to be on a very expensive blood thinner for the rest of my life was... not great to hear. (Though obviously better than dead.)
