It’s true. Within the first 10 seconds if I hear “DJ Khallleeeeeddddd” I immediately know I dislike this song.

Many songs are so repetitive that you’ve heard the whole song in 5 seconds

Reply to Cultivating a sense of perspective about pet loss can lead to post-traumatic growth after their death by chrisdh79
From the article: New research published in Behavioral Sciences investigates the role emotional regulation strategies may play in preventing post-traumatic stress disorder after pet loss. The findings indicate that those who engage in adaptive strategies tend to have increased attachment to their pet and decreased pain after their passing.
Pets have been a component of the human experience for thousands of years. However, we have only recently begun studying these unique relationships’ physiological and psychological consequences. According to the research team, 67% of Americans own pets, while the pet industry in China has increased by 2000% in the last ten years.

Isn’t it still rarely when they found one young person? So there is nothing to be overturned :S

The youngest I’ve ever taken care of was 60. When guests would come to visit their loved ones at the home they would mistake her for staff. It led to some confusion to say the least. Sad to see such active, vibrant people be mentally crippled by this disease.

This happens to me as well, even with songs that I, at first, actually find bad or annoying.

Questionnaire-based studies like this are of low scientific quality and do not actually control for response biases (Including Hawthorne effect) due to impossibility of blinding. It is quite possible the effect is just a change in questionnaire answering behaviour and not an actual reduction in guilt.
A more robust methodology would to objectively measure effect of guilt on real world behaviours.
