Who’s ready for round 3?? [looking nervously at dying coral reefs]

Everyone says they US is the problem, I guess when you are looking for an excuse to be contrarian they are not.
Vote against the Chinese communist party doesn’t really apply for humans wishing to stay out of prison.

Probably not at this point, probably did when I made this point in 1984 but whatever.

I’ve got a really big forehead and can sometimes sense when someone I haven’t talk to in a while is about to text/call me. I bet we have the hardware, we’re just not ready for the update in the software.

Deliberate lack of curiosity is appropriate and adaptive in some cases. I worked as a physician at a prison and one of the pieces of advice I got was to purposely avoid knowing what anyone was locked up for. It didn’t matter for my purposes and it would definitely not help me provide better medical care.

It also makes sense that those who got the jabs were more concerned w distancing, masking and stayed away from public spaces…

It is. There is a very interesting discussion happening on the woo vs. research in this field.

I’m intrigued. Your medical records or someone else’s?

Unfortunately people like Stamets are more interested in fantasy and selling hype than the scientific method. Still a very interesting area of research.

Years ago, I was shown an exercise in synchronicity by an ex. It was demonstrated to her as part of college curriculum and involved moving of hands/arms near someone else's hands without ever touching. One was meant to instinctively know when the movements were going to change. I failed at this every single time, and she claimed I was actively trying to make it not work, as she had just seen it work for everyone in her class. It was at this point that I realized there must be something off about my neurochemistry.

Some of the better advice others have given: "Don't ask questions if you don't want to hear the answer."

>More depressing is that a vast majority of Redditors are unwilling to make any sacrifices in order to fight climate change
I take 5 minute showers every other day, I hold my pee as long as possible to minimize flushes, I have solar panels to generate electricity, and I don't have plants that require regular watering. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FOR ME ? Meanwhile businesses waste tons of water on lack of efficiency or flat-out mistakes. They aren't "bogeyman", they are the problem.

It seems to me volcanoes are easily one of the biggest threats to the planet and generally underrated for vastly less common things like big meteors.

The rich will awake to the future dystopian nightmare approaching and change course, early enough to avoid the proverbial iceberg, to save the world from total collapse, won’t they?
