Its not like once one new idea is made the other is shot, dumped in the ocean, and said to have "gone on life finding journey". You can two ideas and do them together or even independently.

Reply to Physicists nail down the most precise value yet of the electron magnetic moment. A newly measured value of an electron’s magnetic moment — a property of its spin and charge — is twice as precise as the one physicists have used for the past 14 years. by MistWeaver80
Apply this to something an average American would use. ELI5.

Been smoking/vaping since forever, and when I have had pain, have definitely found the pain less important. Might help with a marijuana/pain study if they followed the “How much does it hurt?” question with the “How big of a problem is it?” Then administer the pot and ask again.

I am saying that in this context, alcohol is an antiseptic. It is not an antibiotic, a class of drugs, like is being discussed by both the paper but also the OP of this whole comment thread.
Antibiotic resistance as it was being discussed, is referring to a drug class and the process of bacteria becoming resistant to said drugs in said class.
Arguing that alcohol is an antibiotic in this context is wrong. You could argue all day that technically alcohol has antibacterial properties, thus technically making it an antibacterial agent. But that doesn’t matter because it is not classified as an antibiotic in medicine, it is an antiseptic or disinfectant.

There’s a company in Portland, Oregon already doing this called Aspire.

I have a family member with CMT. She used to use cannabis for pain, but stopped. I think the psychoactive negatives were not worth it at that time. But CMT is progressive, as is the pain. Maybe it's time for a second look?

Increasing stud spacing (without compromising structural strength) would actually help with getting residential buildings closer to a carbon neutral life-cycle. As it would reduce thermal bridging and make homes easier/cheaper to maintain a healthy internal temperature.

It sucks because it's a PR nightmare now so it basically impossible to get anyone that interested in it

Dealing with chronic pain, I can tell you that opiates cause me to still feel the pain but not care as much, but also make me completely couch-locked. Medical MJ provides the same sort of disassociation from the pain, but still leave me the ability to do the dishes.

I have fairly cheap power and there is a nuclear plant not far from here. Though I don't know how much I actually get from it.

This person is correct, simulations allow for much more accurate information on how to build, which has made boats for example more fragile in the same way. They used to use much much more fiberglass than they do now that we fully understand it’s strength.

Some day I’d like to see if there is a difference between feeling less pain, or is the same amount of pain less of an immediate problem. Both are good.
