Monkeys do not show sex differences in toy preferences through their individual choices. Males and females showed similar preferences for neutral and “masculine” toys and preferred them to “feminine” and sex-ambiguous toys. However, males interacted more with the doll more than females did.

Toddlers’ Attention to ‘Motherese’ Speech. The subset of toddlers who fixated on motherese less than 30 percent of the time could be accurately identified as having ASD through this measurement alone. These children also showed lower scores on subsequent tests of language and social skills.

Weed-Friendly Posts on Social Media Get Teens Using Cannabis. More than 80% of participants reported seeing pro-cannabis messages. These posts talked about being high or claimed marijuana was harmless. The pro-cannabis messages most often encountered were from celebrities or in song lyrics.

An Investigation into the Environmental Impacts of Food Choices found the ketogenic diet to have the highest emissions, while the vegan diet had the lowest. Animal products, especially red meat produced the biggest impact. The highest emission diets had up to four times the impact of the vegan diet.
