GPT-3 can code too. It's probably safety feature. They probably don't want it generating code from search that is copyrighted. So they blocked all code on search.

I'm convinced it's using a GPT 3 model. If that's the best a GPT 4 model can do, then it's extremely disappointing.

A surprisingly leak that coincidentally arrives just in the peak of the chatGPT hype

There's a book called "rapture of the nerds" that explain what happens to the Amish. Read it, it's a work of rare rick and morty level genius.

Lame. Look at the screenshot. It didn't answer 'how to implement bubble sort in python'. And asked user to instead search on Bing.

they should be able to choose...we all should.
it also shouldn't be a permeant decision...
the most just way of doin things would be to let people do what makes them happy, as long as they aren't hurting anybody.

Here’s a first person account of what their life might be like:
As I walk through the valley where I harvest my grain I take a look at my wife and realize she's very plain But that's just perfect for an Amish like me You know, I shun fancy things like electricity At 4:30 in the morning, I'm milkin' cows Jebediah feeds the chickens and Jacob plows, fool

Reply to OpenAI To Launch ChatGPT App Soon by vadhavaniyafaijan
For iOS, Turned out we can already have our own shortcut and even Siri can connect ChatGPT by itself with an api key which is free. I was about to buy one of those 3rd party apps this saved my day!
What I liked so far compared to others shortcuts, this one is very close how you normally speak with Siri, there are now extra questions like ‘do you want to continue’ ..etc.

You are right. Search is their cash cow. No matter who replaces it, Google loses money.

Depends on which Amish faction/group we're talking about. It's not so much that they can't use technology, but more that they can't be connected to the outside/grid. So some groups even use solar panels and battery powered electrical equipment. They also have fridges that run on gas.

Shit if they weren't highly religious and strict about it I might do it.

They don't do their work because they have to. They do it as part of their culture and tradition. They would continue to farm their land themselves and refuse any hand outs from ai. They would only use it in select cases such as medical emergencies. Frankly I am thankful we have people like Amish around. If everything else goes to shit they can start from zero.

Reply to comment by FedRCivP11 in Should ChatGPT Screenshots be Banned? (Petition) by 94746382926
If I want to ask ChatGPT a question I can ask it myself, why do I want to read screenshots someone else posted? It's like if when Google came out I posted screenshots of results I found that I liked. Yeah it's cool, but it also gets boring really quick.
But anyways, clearly most people here disagree with me and that's fine.
