Did it hurt your feelings that your arrogant prediction was proven wrong literally the next day? How about instead of calling me a liar you actually do some basic research and see if you're right or not first? Lol

No, it isn’t. You’re a liar.

True enough that malware is possible without ChatGPT my snarky commenter. I'm more concerned with script kiddies able to mass produce polymorphic malware that makes mitigation cumbersome with very little effort or investment by the creator.
Hackers have the advantage of anonymity, so it becomes incredibly difficult to stop them proactively. This just makes it worse.
But that wasn't my point my bad faithed chum and you know that very well. I mean, your posting history makes it really clear you have a vested interest in ChatGPT being unfettered as possible. So I don't think you and I can have a neutral discussion about this in the first place. Nor would you want one.

How many people in the US died "with covid" as opposed to directly "caused by covid"?

There's a difference between people who identify as libertarian as a political ideology and there are real libertarians who just want to grill in peace.

It'll be very interesting to see how the legality is handled. Imo there are a lot of things about AI that our government (USA) is not ready to legislate.

So why are we so hell bent on going against that?

No one cares. The positive news of its abilities far outweigh whatever negativity it will get on twitter.

Makes sense why Google’s been repeatedly quoted calling for AI regulation. People say they’re industry leaders in AI. That may be true, but it potentially may be their downfall as well.
They’ve clearly been pushing AI technology forward in a lot of different areas, but has this spread them too thin? It’s seeming like they may have missed what OpenAI and Microsoft spotted in the delivery and value of LLMs to end-users.
Interesting times ahead for sure.

Can't you see in the article that it's not even allowed to write cover letters for you?

In the deep tech startup environment, Chat GPT is seen as a divine surprise, it replaces both a junior dev, the marketing department, the graphic designer, etc. This avoids hiring, even on a freelance contract. Then Microsoft clearly wants the skin of Google, I am old enough to have known the Microsoft killer of Netscape and savior of Apple. Between trying out Chat GPT and its surprise rollout in Bing and Edge, they only go there if they're sure to damage Mountain View.
We haven't seen it all yet, I'm hoping for big things

I predicted this 4 days ago on this subreddit and got down voted to heck. Google's messaging ahead of this was " we built the transformer" , like okay but why does that matter? This space is moving at ungodly speed even a model 2-3 years old is likely outdated to the point of obsolescence.

Its even dumber though because I don't think OP was even asking it to lie at all. I interpreted it as they wanted to use NLP to improve the writing quality of their cover letter. What is wrong with that? This is one of the main allures of using NLP!

It may be tough to get an AI that’s completely unfiltered at all. Because whoever created it might be opening themselves up to lawsuits if it’s used to hurt people.
