This is one that I'm really hoping for and could see becoming a reality within just a few years. Can't wait to see what amazing worlds can be created when we can have people creating what they're passionate about without the barriers of million dollar budget requirements and corporate politics getting in the way!

This. This is the start of AI-assisted modding. It is going to be glorious: imagine having a great idea for a whole complex mod, typing a paragraph and have it being generated for you? It will revolutionize gaming.

Listen anyone who describes it as a text or next token predictor is just an idiot with no idea how LLMs work. It has clearly abstracted out patterns of relationships (ie meaning) from its corpus and uses something like proto-general reasoning to answer questions as part of the prediction function. In fact ask it whether it's a text predictor and see what it says

You're literally asking for ways to address his arguments. To you a "good" discussion seems to only be one where you are "right". That's not a discussion, that's bullying. Even now, you're engaging with people in a hostile manner when they simply have the opinion that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

They aren't.

This is laughably wrong. The military runs on outdated hardware that was commissioned a decade plus ago. They do not have some magic semiconductor technology that is unknown to the public. They just have a lot of money.

I think that AGI is near... Maybe this year, who knows? AI is evolving very fast in the last few years and specially this year everyday I see news about AI and his rapidly evolution
