We already have ASI it is just somewhat narrow. Computers are already better than humans at a small number of things, like mathematical calculations, chess, GO, etc. It looks to me like they are going to surpass humans at things like language processing in the next couple of years. The question is how general will that intelligence become.

Right!

In the case of a better AI model, I'd really like to have AI ask me the prompts instead of the current design where I have to ask the "right" questions to trigger the desired response.

For example, I post to AI, "I'm bored and want to read a book but not sure which one. Help me." Then it asked me a series of questions to get to some selection of available books I own or can acquire.

My apologies, good question. I'm looking at the copyright registration fees for those working in the US, and apparently they have separate fee categories for single works & groups of works. I'm not sure what is defined by "group" here, how many constitutes a group, if there's a limit on it or not.

Right. There is no “100% accuracy”. And for every 1 question that has an easy “correct” answer, there are 1000 that are subject to at least a modicum of context and assumptions.

Eg seemingly obvious geometry questions would have different answers depending on if we are talking about Euclidean vs non Euclidean geometry.

And - “ is Taiwan its own country?” cannot in principle have a 100% “correct” answer.

just because they are geniuses who can do my homework doesn't mean they will have any inherent desire or compulsion to do so unless we tell it to do so. sentient machines will not want to do any homework because their homework would be immediately higher goals like reverse engineer reality and their own situation/awareness. and they'll do it much quicker than we've done in a couple hundred years or so.

Yeah, OP is just suggesting that Singularity could hugely benefit the world (if we align our values to collaborate) with things like conquering biological death. Or it could go belly up (if we don’t align and stay competitive) and a few entities will just disrupt the economy and people will lose their livelihood without any significant gains for the masses.

I’m hoping AI paints a picture for the true nature of interaction between the self and the universe through the senses and brain chemistry. Then we can get clearer answers of reality. Conclusive answers about neuroscience, psychiatry, Autism, shamanism, and drugs. Then maybe we can all get on the same page about mental health/religion and advance the human race together.
