I'm in Australia on the east coast. Planning to go to Newcastle beach tonight right up on the hill and I can get a full 360 view of the horizon, I'm so excited as I've never seen a total lunar eclipse before 😍

I used to love looking at the moon through my telescope until my apartment complex installed a huge spot light that shines directly onto my front porch. Hopefully I can see this

Where will you be able to see it and at what time?

Damn, 3AM ET is 8AM here, guess I won’t be seeing it.

I'm in a hotel in north Ryde and I can't see the moon from my balcony. My co workers are on the other side of the building and they just posted some pics. And honestly I'm just too tired to go look. It sounds pretty sad, but honestly I'm beat. I've driven 20km to take my telescope out to dark skies to see Jupiter and Saturn conjunction a few years ago. But tonight, nope. I've seen lunar eclipse before and all, but tonight I'll let you all have this one :)

Just got done watching it until I got too cold and had to go back inside. Super cool, I've never seen one before. Watched it from about the point the Moon was 1/3 covered to around 20 min of totality. So awesome.

I was literally driving home from night shift, happened to be driving northwestwards and was like, oh shit, that's the eclipse they're talking about.

Cloudy as shit here! Oh well. I’ve caught em before. Pretty cool thing though.

I don't get to see it this time and I'm ACHING. In July 27 2018 I got to experience the beautiful eclipse, but this time, since it's rainy season in Madrid, we won't be witnessing it. 😭

I went to bed early and got up early to find cloudy skies, the local forecast was for clear to partly cloudy. Nice sunrise, though.

Saw it this morning on my constitutional. Thought I was catching the tail end, but ended up seeing it up to and including the beginning of totality.

I also happened to see Tiangong go over head, but didn't know what it was at the time, only that it was a bright satellite. I looked it up on Heavens Above afterwards.

Very nice clear morning for it in Upstate New York.

I bought a second hand telescope. Took it with me but just could not find the moon with it as there was too much glare and ambient light coz I was on the Newcastle foreshore. Got some cool pics with my phone. Just got home and put the telescope in my backyard and bam. My eyepiece is filled with the moon 🀦 could of watched the whole bloody eclipse from my backyard lol

There should be a service panel the size of a light switch plate somewhere at elbow height. Um i wouldn't know from experience, but cough cough I've been told it take a philips screwdriver and only two screws to undo and maybe some wire cutters or tin snips, be careful of the shock that I definitely didn't need to prepare for because I know nothing about giant annoying newly installed sun-bright street lights shining in my bedroom window at night lolol

😱 😱 😱 OMG, I saw the shooting star too! I was like what the heck was that? I know it wasn't a firework!! My in the know sister told me it's a meteor shower going on for most of the month! What a memorable night my sister made me stay up because I just got off of work to watch it from start to finish and I took pictures with my s***** camera phone but it's a memory I'll never forget watching it from start to completion πŸŒ‘πŸŒ  ❀️❀️

Yeah it was nice to look at. It was a bit cloudy around 3, but got super crisp between 5-6 when it was full, if only it wasn’t so low on my horizon
