Huge amounts of fuel are required to launch even small rockets to orbit. But a Scotland based private space company is working on a new technology that converts previously unrecyclable plastic into high-performance rocket fuel. The process yields 650 to 750 liters of usable fuel per ton of plastic.

I used my largest telescope to observe the moon/mars occultation on Wednesday night, and captured this detailed photo. If you zoom in you can see surface details on Mars next to the craters on the moon. It was spectacular and surreal to witness live.Submitted by dfeig t3_zhg2un
