A really absorbing read. I learned lots of things I didn’t know about this entire period.

I tried to think of a counter point - that hunting is really only fun if it’s somewhat challenging. But then i remember a lot of hunting is also wealthy people walking out onto a savannah and blasting the first animal they see. So, yeah you’re right, good point haha

This helps explain the issue better than I ever could. Enjoy.

Very cool, I didn't know that. So do we call those steam engines or nuclear motors?

Repair? No one repairs rocket engine especially back then. And volume of propellant shouldn’t be a big deal since ISP would be two to three times H2 + O2 if you needed a high enough delta V.

Depends. A black hole the size of Sagittarius A* probably wouldn’t spaghettify you, but I don’t remember why

No. Anything that travels at the speed of light would have an infinite mass; to move something with infinite mass would require infinite energy. It isn't just an issue of technology, it is a fundamental limit of physics for anything with a non-zero mass.

Being able to transcend 3rd & 4th dimension.
If a 2d being was sentient it would perceive our 3d abilities to be a phenomon as well.

What type of information? What’s that mean here?

It's theoretically possible to convert somebody into light and they would then travel at the speed of light, but I have no idea how they might rematerialize at their destination.

It is impossible for anything with mass to travel AT the speed of light. You can get arbitrarily close, though.
And if wormholes, warp or some other FTL ever is developed, the question is moot anyway.

An Einstein-Rosen bridge would be more plausible.

No, you can see ahead of you everything that fell in before you, because it's all time dilated and "frozen" as it approaches the singularity.

No, time does not stop on crossing the event horizon. The view of the external universe above actually speeds up.

Still, wasting time on UFO nonsense is wasted life. Grow up, do something useful, help somebody in need, don't waste good air for nothing!
