Reply to I imaged the moon as much as possible for a month to make this panorama of its phases, zoom in! by Eclipse489
Feel free to zoom in, it's a large image.
Took photos of the moon whenever I could for the past month or so, and finally compiled them into this phase panorama!
Each photo took about an hour to finish, and are stacks of somewhere around 100 images (varies by image) from videos of somewhere between 1k and 3k frames (also varies by image), taken on my Nikon Z5 camera and F/4.5-5.6 70-300mm lens.
Stacked in Lynkeos, post-processing done in either Lightroom, Darktable or Photopea (again varies by image).
Final panorama compiled together in Photopea.
The central full moon image is from the moon/mars conjunction on 12/8/22
Enjoy!

How did it just appear there? I would think you would have had 20 or 30 seconds prior to see it going through your FOV.

Don Mitchell's web page has perhaps the highest quality images taken by the Venera probes. He gained access to the raw data from the probes and used his expertise with modern image processing tools to extract much better quality images.
This and this are great examples of his work. Quite something to see these, taken at the bottom of a ~460 °C, ~90 bar supercritical CO₂ ocean.
Edit: Oops, just saw /u/UmbralRaptor's comment, already referencing Mitchell's page. But I'll leave this one as I think it adds detail.

Are we sure it’s a plane? Looks like a space battle unfolding in front of our eyes

That's just the worst, we're lucky to have pretty tight planning and building rules in our parish.

I got turned onto it when I was 18, up Mount Washington camping and the galactic centre was visible in the sky. We had coffees and found a local guide to talk us through what we could see above. Never looked up with the same eyes since.

Okay that's great to hear, it feels like it may also turn into my most expensive hobby. Any sub-reddits that might have some good starter advice?

Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237) lies about 5,200 light-years from Earth. It sits within the distant Monoceros Constellation of our Milky Way Galaxy.

You're not really seeing a night sky if you're not seeing the Milky Way with naked eyes. Knowing that you're now actually seeing a glimpse of the huge galaxy we live in and that this was a regular mundane sight for everyone before electrical light pollution is humbling.

They're sourcing the images from private imagery sources like Planet and Maxar. Images from publically funded satellites like Landsat and Copernicus are already freely available for download. It would be nice if Planet and Maxar made it easier for people to buy their images directly but this seems like an okay solution for now.
