That is Orion's sword. The Orion Nebula is in the sword, one of the grandest things to look at with a telescope in the entire sky.

Taken with my EOS and vintage takumar SMC 135mm 3.5 stopped down to 5.6. 100 30 second exposures at 3200 ISO. Stacked with DSS and edited with siril.

Pilots have to be very careful about hitting exactly 88 mph for too long or else this happens.

There are r/telescope and r/telescopes. Do a search for "starter" or "advice" and if you can't find an answer, or can't narrow down which telescope to get, ask them. They'd probably be happy to help!

They can really get in the way of a good picture, yes

Aliens thought they'd take a cruise trip to that dump called Earth on their pontoon space ship. I think I see some plastic waste flying off behind the ship.

Those three bright ones in a row, that's Orion's belt. The big red one up and left, that's Beetlejuice, his right shoulder.

And those bright clump of stars under neath the belt?

I noticed that issue too, though on my screen it wasn't visible unless I upped the brightness a ton (of the image, my screen is always at full brightness).

I tried to mitigate it a bit but if I went any further with the black level it started messing up the terminator lines, so I just left it like this. I don't notice it at all on my computer or phone screen, both at full brightness.

Nice shot. Love the way the Pleiades and Hyades came out. Orion’s sword looking great, as is the Meissa/phi Orionis asterism.
