Sounds very much like support for SpaceX wannabee competitors. Currently there are no US companies with a viable alternative to SpaceX Falcon, Falcon Super Heavy and Starship.

Reply to How would radiation affect attempts to colonize the Galilean moons? by Old-Entertainment-91
Well if it's harmful radiation, and we have to assume it is, it will tear through our DNA as it radiates doing irreparable damage to us. Just look at the demon core incident. There's, what I believe, a really good video essay on the demon core by Kyle Hill on YouTube if your interested, but that's off topic.

Terran 1, I'm an avid 3d printing enthusiast so I just think it's cool as hell.

The system is also considerably more complex, so…
Previous question still stands.

Reply to comment by Aggravating_Impact97 in Lance Bass was kicked off a Russian spaceflight two decades ago—now he’s back by hemlockfuture
"There were a lot of problems with Russia and Hollywood in trying to make this happen," Bass said during a recent interview with Ars. "There were even a couple of weekends that I would get kicked off the base in Russia. They would put a gun to my head and be like, 'Where's the money? Where's the money?'"

The barycenter of the Sun and Jupiter is--surprisingly not inside the Sun, so I think we can guess the answer.

I would like to see Relativity Terran1 and Firefly Alpha do well this year, but the obvious favourite for me is Starship.

You all jealous but I've never seen a rocket and don't live anywhere near a launch pad 😭 also: starship is definitely going to make me cry when it launches

The big boy Starship. If they can get that tin can going it will be a key big step forward.

What kind of telescope do you have? Make sure your expectations aren't too high, Jupiter is quite small and bright in any telescope, and the visibility of the belts also depends on the atmospheric conditions.
Jupiter is currently only visible in the early evening. Not the best time to observe the planet. Will be much better in a few months.

Not the most exciting, but hey, space plane! I was a huge fan of the shuttle orbiter, and while DC is way smaller, it'll be neat to see a cargo ship doing a runway landing again.

Build-a-dobsonian kits are out there if you're handy. Pretty nice three piece designs and pretty easy to build. Spend the money you'd save from getting a fully built setup on the highest quality mirror.

Man, I am jealous. Getting that close to those behemoths. The best I've had was visiting Canaveral in 2007 and seeing the Shuttle on the pad from like 2 miles away. And even that was a red letter day.
