I used a 10" goto Dobsonian for this image, but I'm sure you can get similar results with an 8. A goto or tracking setup will make your life easier but it isn't necessary especially if you have a larger camera sensor

I've been outside every night with my spaced obsessed 8 year old using the star app and taking pictures of the planets. His birthday is in March and I'm gunna get him a telescope!

Russia doesn’t have the money to put a new station
US will have axiom station up before the ISS retires. And of course lunar gateway.

I feel like maybe it’s a freak accident that you caught the lens flare right over top of Mars and it made the normal capture of Mars right after way more sus, just cause you just saw this thing shrouded in green

Also, they would have to land at a shallow angle, which leaves them closer to the surface... maybe?
