As a fan of cricket, I gotta say that classic cricket is too damn slow for me. I think it isn’t bad that cricket is maturing into an entertainment-centric support rather than it giving off an artistic vibe.

You're thinking of the World Cup. The US already has 2028 Summer Olympics in LA

I tuned in halfway through the windies innings just before Charles brought up his century. Watched the decimation unfold and just had a funny feeling. When they posted the record total, I thought "oh I've seen this one before, I was there". Watched the rest of the match bar about 1 over when I came back in from a smoke break to see my flatmate playing PlayStation. Changed the channel while he was mid race and watched the last 2 overs.

438 was scored in the second innings, with a ball to spare

Did you just conveniently forget to include the "Some" word before worst air quality?

Nah it’s the team that represents the islands in the Caribbean (known as the West Indies). Including Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Cuba etc

The Proteas are the Cricket version of the Irish Rugby team in World Cups.

The 438 game was in 2006.
Centurion is 2 kilometres above sea level. That's the main reason you saw all the sixes yesterday.
ps. The next game is also going to be a high scoring game (Johannesburg is even higher up than Centurion).

Are you saying they were 'high'?

T20 is in the process of destroying itself. When 35 sixes are hit in a game, a six is no longer something you look forward to ... Bowlers will lose interest, fielders, especially those inside the circle, will be less attentative. They already say that T20 cricket is a game watched by people who don't like cricket...

We are rushing to finish a bunch of major transit projects. But that’s a benefit for LA forever.
In fact I wouldn’t even mind the Olympics coming here every 20 years. If it spurned a huge investment in real infrastructure. Let the billionaires keep building stadiums. I just want that Choo Choo moneys
