It isn't changing. I'm explaining what a referral is and how it isn't as personal as a letter of recommendation. If you're an employee on a job site, you wouldn't refer someone you met on that said job site if you felt they were incompetent, but you don't have to be their friend, either. It's a softer judge of character than a reference or recommendation.

You could know enough about a person you met online to refer them, but it would be unwise to write a letter or recommendation for them or let them use you as a reference. These are three separate things. My story isn't changing.

Not at all. Perhaps you are thinking of a letter of reference. A referral is when a current employee tells you about an open position at their company. There is a portion on job applications that say "were you referred to us by a current employee of (so and so company)? If so, whom?"

You don't need a close, personal relationship with Joe Schmoe who works for Dish Network and tells you they are hiring and that you should apply, but Joe Schmoe would indeed be referring you at that point.

Ahhh, now I see where your thoughts come from. Thanks but no thanks to the weed. I'll take life as it is. You still didn't answer my question, Cheech.

For your information, I'm not sad at all. I retired a few years ago and built a home on Table Rock Lake. I'm doing just fine my little friend who is searching for the meaning in life and why boomers question those without morals and ethics. :)

Well referrals on job applications are usually in reference to current employees at said company/organization. Maybe I misunderstood your reply.

To clarify, I'm talking about the portion of the job application that says "were you referred by a current (insert company/organization name here) employee? If so, whom?"

SpringNet only provides dark fiber to Brightspeed - they do not run any electronics or directly operate any data circuits that comprise Brightspeed's network. Brightspeed is responsible for customer support, operating the network hardware, Internet uplinks, etc. The only time SpringNet will get involved is if Brightspeed diagnoses a broken fiber or other issue with the physical network.

Brightspeed chat support was aware of the issue as of 4:20pm yesterday afternoon and had a slight idea of what was wrong. They acknowledged my address, account, etc.

I went to Springfield lake since I went to James River first.

It was pretty good. I usually eat vegetarian or Prescetarian (vegetarian but with fish.) But a friend gave me this elk sausage and venison so I cooked it up and omg it was so good!!! It was sooo good I went and fed some to all my friends and they loved it. I spared everyone from the carrots.

I want to do this every weekend. Go cook in the parks with my solar panel farm and go around feeding people for free.

Right it's just ignorance and dislike for things or people different from themselves. If you just let people be happy they might share it with their local subreddit and some people (losers) just couldn't live with that. Imagine someone just cooking on a public grill meant for everyone and anyone! No for they're entitled to it.

So city jobs have different ethic requirements, is that what you're saying? What difference does it make? Never mind, that was a rhetorical question for you. It obviously makes a difference.

So educate me, where do you draw the line on how important the job before ethical behavior kicks in?
