This is why starting a computer is referred to as "booting" the computer. The machine has to pull itself into operation by its own bootstraps.

As a Browns fan, could be worse.

Meritocracy is somewhat a myth. Not totally a myth, being better and smarter than your peers can get you ahead, but only to a certain degree.
We all know extremely hard working disciplined people who slaved their lives away in poverty.
Also thanks to Elon, the idea of the uber rich being better and smarter and deserving of their wealth has been completely rebuked, since we all now know that Elon is a fucking idiot who’s genius was in making a handful of great investments in other people’s good ideas.

Oh! Haha. Jimm’s is my go-to date night suggestion but not so much with the vegetarian options! The Grotto is quiet and has lovely food but the ambience isn’t fancy.

No offense to anyone who liked this theater, but I always found it to be the worst in Springfield.

Thank you. This matches my research on it a while back. I hate that people act like hardship is always something a person brings upon themselves. We all know so many people who work their butts off and have little to nothing to show for it and people who just coats by and good things just fall in their lap. Life is NOT fair. We tell our kids to not expect life to be fair, but we teach them that it really is and if something isn’t going the way you want it to, it must be your fault.

Former car salesman here. As I’m sure you’re aware, and as people here have already pointed out, you’ll get what you pay for. That being said, I applaud you for trying to avoid a payment and there are certainly things out there you can find to get by.
Look for a 15+ year old (‘06-‘08) Honda or Toyota. I prefer Honda, but Toyota is certainly comparable. An Accord or Pilot (if you want the SUV) can be found in that price range, especially if you’re willing to travel to KC/STL or similar. You will have to accept “high” mileage, but both brands have excellent longevity records (I’m currently driving a pilot with 400K+ miles and it runs beautifully).
You probably won’t find either at a big dealership (mark-ups are crazy) but smaller lots or even individuals will be your best bet.
Good luck and reach out with questions.

My mother was suicidal for years. Cox North treated her each time she had an episode. The last time she was there in September of 2014, she was released without telling any of her family (makes no sense, she had just attempted that week). She committed suicide that night and we found out she left the hospital the next day. When she was already dead. My brother found her. My brother is the one who's been missing since April of this year. Cox North doesn't have my trust at all.

Cafe Cusco is great and if you get seated in one of their sort of private booths it has a nice cozy feel.

Exactly and the seats never bothered me. You could always find seats with no one in front of you to stretch out more.

I enjoy the experience of going to the theater to see a new movie. But I know that’s changed for a lot of people.

I no longer live in SGF but even when I lived there nearly a decade ago there was never a full house for any of the movies I went to see. I can't imagine this location was generating much, if any, profit. Cool theater though, I always remember it as clean and a super convenient option for downtown.

I had my sweet 16 there… I loved that theatre. I went to all my midnight premieres there. I had numerous dates there and had friends who worked there in HS. I also found lots of knives there lol. It never recovered from the pandemic though. I hope it can stay a theatre and maybe someone else can take it over and do a little more with it. I’m sad I didn’t get to see one last movie to say goodbye.

Also a northsider and it was the only theater we ever went to. Haven't been since the pandemic started though. Got used to streaming new releases at home.

Same. I can walk there in ten minutes at a leisurely stroll, and I never had a bad experience there. I'll miss it.
