Thank you so much!
I’ve heard a lot about Springfield’s pedestrian “scene” so I’ll be sure to try and keep my eyes peeled and to make sure my sister keeps an eye out as well. I really appreciate the tips

The north side is definitely rough. Just drive Glenstone from the south to the north and the difference is stark. The big thing, though, if you end up on the north side, is just mind your business and avoid the drug scene. If you have to park outside, leave nothing of value/importance in the car and lock everything.
Oh, and regardless of where in SGF you are, watch out for pedestrians randomly walking in the roadways. Likewise, don’t walk in the roads yourself.
A couple years ago Cox and Mercy bumped up their minimum wage to $16+ an hour (it may actually be higher than that icr). There are plenty of furniture and appliance stores around, so just Google those.

There are constantly shoplifting calls happening in Springfield Walmarts. I did a ridealong with SPD once and we got one at the S Campbell Walmart, then took that super long drive of about a hundred yards to Gordman’s next door for another shoplifting call.

My guess is that Hawley will be the poorest person who speaks.

Yes, it’s a religious event even if it is mostly non-religious stuff. I think last year the big draw was monster trucks. You know, because nothing teaches people about Jesus quite like a monster truck.

good recommendations. i love that area, but i wouldn’t say “no one’s ever around.” nearly every campground on the current and jacks fork is full during the summer, and i’ve never seen rocky falls without there being at least a handful of people climbing around (no matter the time of year). it’s nearly as full as johnson shut-ins during the warmer months.

I saw the parking lot security truck and 1 spd vehicle at the north entrance with lights on. I assume if someone was hurt or killed, there would have been more law enforcement or at least a first responder. This was about 2-2.5 hrs ago.

I don't know anything about it, but 911 call history shows calls at 2:22, 3:07, and 4:28 PM for that location. Two are marked "SHOPLIFTING - CUSTODY."

I...feel that.
That resonates deeply in my clinically depressed, blackhole where my soul once inhabited the space - but collapsed in on itself after exposure to "ever enumerating and seemingly exponential detached and isolated settings, situations and disentanglement from my native town.
It's the become a theme in something I'm working on.
You drink coffee? Smoke tobacco's and herbs of varying strength and origin? Revel in blaspheming gpd till the wee hours of the morn, and enjoy eccentric, reclusive artistic individuals with a wide array of "analogue aspects, in an otherwise purely digital landscape" and roam like Rufus while you wax philosophical?
Holla sometime should you be moved to do so.
