I was outside during this. Bunch of fireworks and then the sky lit up. I think it was just a quiet and flashy firework.

I don't think it's related to the shooting at Glendale because this looked to be east of Harter House.

Yes! We heard a ton of pops, first. It almost sounded like gunfire, but more like fireworks when I opened the back door. Closed it and a few minutes later watched the sky light up; a few seconds later it shook our windows. Someone’s fireworks cache go up?

>It wouldn't have taken very many votes…
Jay Wasson, the runner up to Burlison, had nearly 20k total votes, 13k+ short of the 33k+ Burlison pulled to win the primary.
The winner of the dem primary had 11k total votes; just over 17k TOTAL dems votes in the primary on a democratic ticket
Seems pretty unlikely to be able to pull a bit more than 75% of the Democratic primary votes to a single candidate on the Republican ticket.

I feel like you reiterated my point, are you disagreeing?
Increased supply (more units built to rent), decreases demand (less people wanting to rent) by increasing competition (more units on the market vying for the same set number of renters), means decreased rent.
I suppose my point of leaving a unit empty or decreasing rent was somewhat reductionist, but still what will happen.
Ultimately the only point, that isn't up for debate is that... More units built = cheaper rent.

Honestly I have the same mindset a lot of the time lol. I feel like the ads for the project were disingenuous and went for the negative, i.e. "Springfield needs this development or else" mentality as opposed to "The growth of Galloway will benefit the city of Springfield in x, y, z ways." Their use of influential people from around the city as another bargaining chip was also weird. These tactics come off really shady and made me feel like I wasn't getting all of the truth, and like I mentioned in another comment, they neglected the people who actually live and work there, and I really dislike that longtime residents are being bulldozed for the sake of developers that won't care about Springfield in 10 years.

No. Increased supply means increased competition which means decreased rents.

I had a few birthday parties at Skate Corral when I was a kid. I still refer to certain types of music as “Skate Corral music.” The song “Tootsee Roll” is one.

There’s Skateland in Webb City and Skate World in Branson. RIP Skate Port and Skate Corral.

As others have said, Skateland on S. Campbell past James River Freeway is it. I'd like if we could get another one back, though. I've had to miss the adult skate nights on weekends because of lack of parking - and unless they changed something, you can't just go and park early because the kids' skate is before that and all the spots will be full from that. So it would be nice to have options for places to go and skate.
