I absolutely know people who would vote for McDonalds as their favorite fast food place, unfortunately.

My point, again, is that if all this boils down to a popularity contest, then why even do it? And if it’s going to be done regardless, then why not be transparent with how the list is presented. “Most popular in 417” would attract just as much attention and then would avoid all this nonsense about what restaurants are “better” than others.

Doom on DOS. Sunny D and batman. Faces of death. Pogs. Cow tails. Joe Cartoon (frog in a blender, homestar runner, trogdor). Sticky hand quarter machines. Outside. Friends. My mom.

People wouldn't vote for McDonald's as their favorite Fast Food joint, though.

The idea is that they go and ask people what their favorite food places are, and the ones the most people say are their favorite are "the best."

You just answered your own question.

Everyday Thai is great, but the location is awkward enough that a lot of people probably never want to mess with it, and Mexican Villa is a local institution despite the quality being only passable.

Jimm's has been around for forever, though it used to be under a different name. It was originally called Steak & Ale, then the owners retired and sold the place to one of the staff, Jim, who renamed it Jimm's and kept the place going.

Used to be the best steakhouse in town up until the last few years when quality has slipped, plus they emphasize quality service and have a very nice ambiance, which is likely why it gets so many fine dining votes.

People know and love the place, and many have probably never heard of the other two. I know I haven't.

I understand that, and it’s all well and good. But popularity unfortunately does not equal quality, so what is even the point of this list?

They even brand it as “Best” of 417, which is a misnomer if all they’re doing is tallying popularity, so again, what’s even the point? By this logic McDonalds should absolutely top several categories.

And look Harvest up, it’s fantastic.

It's a popular vote. Amazing how many people slamming the list because their favorite isn't where they want it don't understand this is a popular vote.

It's not on the list because not enough people voted for it. Period. End of story.

Doesn't matter how good the food is if they don't have a big enough fanbase, and I've never heard of Harvest before now.

Had mine done last year, pro tip no matter who you go to, if you feel ANYTHING aside from the needle administering the local anesthetic during the procedure, let the doctor know. Dont try to tough it out, communicate.

Otherwise, Cox Urology in the Ferrell-Duncan Building, any of the doctors really. Youll get pain killers and some meds to relax you prior to the procedure. You'll need a driver if you take the relaxer. Cost depends on your insurance but there are financial advisors that run the cost for you. It has to be paid in advance.

I live in this area and it is nice for pricing. There is yelling and such outside sometimes but I used to live in north Springfield like Kearney and national area and heard gunshots and such often over there. Never had any problems with crime or break ins or theft either location other than homeless people breaking in and sleeping in our garage with a broken door
