SRC Heavy Duty East (SRC Whole Goods) has two openings for production assembly and production engineer, and will likely have one position for warehouse stock keeper soon (because I'm getting promoted). Best place I've ever worked, really could not recommend it more. Sign on bonus is still at $1K.

Apply at https://www.srcholdings.com/careers, navigate on the map to the east Kearney location near Strafford.

Expiration/best by date conversation aside, I live near this store but try to avoid going to it because every time I go, I get dark energy from the employees lol. There is one in particular that I see there every time I go who is constantly aggressively talking about stuff very loudly with his coworkers, sometimes insulting other coworkers or talking about drama in the store. I even recently heard one call another the r-word, and I wasn’t the only customer around when he said it lol.

Wow, yes, a huge change that will take a lot of getting used to! Honestly, as someone who has lived with dogs in springfield and elsewhere, (and as an urban planner), I find the dog walking to be of relatively low quality within the city— it’s extremely car dependent with a lot of noise and poor pedestrian infrastructure. There are greenways, but they’re pretty boring in general and not practical to make a loop out of. There is a nice watershed park north of the city called Valley Water Mill which makes for a lovely little hike around a lake in woods, and as far as neighborhoods go Rountree as another person mentioned and Phelps Grove are great quiet places with good side walks.

It's all price cutters. Just saw multiple shopping carts of pulled out of dates at the chestnut and bypass location. National and republic road is one of their slowest volume stores. The owner keeps a number of these turtle stores open just so Walmart doesn't swoop in and take the land after shutting one down.

Pepsi teamsters union is weak as fuck. The health insurance is great but that's it they didn't do shit otherwise It was basically a non-union job with the same old shit. Most unions in Springfield are in cahoots with management.

Also the "black mold" situation with Amazon was apparently something invented due to a dozen or so employees deciding they were a union.

Check out apps like AllTrails. You can find a ton.

Springfield Lake, Ritter Springs Parks, Greenway Trail... There's a few but they're usually busy and on pavement. If you can get out of town a bit there are several more.
