I have plenty of compassion, I just don’t think it includes inviting strangers onto my property of into my families home just because they’re homeless. And anyone who thinks people should have to do that are seriously insane.

You have entirely missed the point of this post. It’s meant to be satire. It’s supposed to be funny. Then you go out of your way to argue about a point that has nothing to do with OP’s post.
You need some help in reading comprehension. I’m not trying to be rude but do you have a learning disability?

You are a lost cause. I hope someday you learn compassion. Good bye.

Nothing. Because as a property owner THAT IS MY RIGHT.
I have no space for anyone beside my family, and that’s perfectly fine. Your attempt at making me feel bad fell short, I’m afraid.
I don’t feel like anyone has a right to my property but me and mine.
Edit to add: and yeah, if I had given multiple warnings (I’m assuming these folk did, because that’s the decent thing to do), and my warning was ignored, I’d do what is necessary to protect my own property. Joe Bob doesn’t have a right to it because he’s mentally ill and can’t hold a job. That is not my problem and my property or home does not have to be apart of that solution.

Also. I have opened my home to those who have needed it. And they were strangers before that, now they are family. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?????

I am well aware of Jim Arnot. And the unsavory extremists he associates with.

Open it in your regular browser. Or, just search Facebook for Christie Love. It's one of her statuses.

Reply to Food Anxiety by BrainMinimum7402
It sounds like you dont just have anxiety. I am not a doctor. But I have suffered for years from food anxiety and seen specialists for it. You are obsessing over this concept of large food portions, and I think your anxiety and OCD are bouncing off of each other. It may, at this point, be something your brain clings to whenever you view this big piece of chicken for example. So many times you've seen an overwhelming portion, your brain has this automatic reaction.
What I would suggest is making yourself smaller portions, and ordering smaller portions. Instead of the adult plate, perhaps you need the child's plate. When you receive that big cut of chicken, break it down. Cut it and determine, this is what I will eat now. And this is what I will eat later. But I will eat it, because I've spent money on it, it has been prepared, and it will feed me essential calories my body needs to function. I know it's hard but try to retrain your brain to think of new thoughts. See the portion in new ways. Perhaps this leftover will need to be divided into two, perhaps you don't need the entire thing at the moment. There's nothing wrong with having a little chicken, waiting thirty minutes, then having a little more chicken.
And, if it's about feeling like you're eating too much, just be realistic and knowledgeable about the calories your food contain. Read the nutrition facts. Do research when you go out. Simply knowing off the top of your head how many calories are in a chicken breast might give you some reassurance.
Hope this helps!

Reply to Hi! My gf and I (26) are moving to Springfield for the summer from Late April/May to august and are looking for fully furnished, relatively cost effective places to live that are in a safe neighborhood. by ponyboi915
College housing is a BIG mistake. I live in college housing and I'm constantly hearing people yelling, constantly dealing with drunk kids. But because you want fully furnished that's where you're gonna end up. Cost effective could be anywhere in town but I can circle on a map where you dont want to live. You dont want to be north of division. You dont want to be off downtown more than half a mile because the surrounding areas to the east north and west can be sketchy. There's no "hood" in Springfield mo. The worst parts of town are gonna be surrounding the train track east to west of Springfield mo. The area I grew up in and played in the streets at night as a kid. So yeah sure it's got a little more danger because there are more people whose income also reflects their life choices on the north side but its not a worrisome place to be. I digress.

So to tack onto this: my partner and I have stopped buying frozen food from the nat/repub price cutter because by the time we brought it home, we noticed lots of freezer burn. At some point, it had thawed and had been refrozen.
