Twice fried wings with Arizona Gunslinger sauce! The Southwest Cajun and Boneyard sauces are also really good. Over the years my friends and I have tried every sauce on their menu, and those are the ones we all agree are the best. I eat mostly vegetarian now, and those are one of the things I miss the most.

I’ve never had them skip other than a weather day or a holiday. And we try really hard to RRR ♻️, so we always have extra space in our bins if they have to skip a week. Sure, most small businesses cater to you and never miss, but not all are able. If my husband and I and maybe my sis in law were running a growing small business, I’d hope that my patrons would be understanding especially when I was in a growth spurt. I think they’re great. I don’t understand the whole need for perfection thing. As long as there is an effort to be the most affordable and I’m not being put out, we’re good. I would still recommend them to anyone I know.

I've had the same issues with MTS as asssshhhhleyyyy. I absolutely want to support locally owned businesses and have no problem with missing out on amenities that the corporate trash services provide, but we've had MULTIPLE times where they just don't pick up our trash that week. That's not a "they're not for everyone" issue. I mean, that's the primary service they provide! At least update the FB page when the schedule is off. Almost all small, family-run businesses do that.

Altec on South Campbell opposite Krispy Kreme always seems to be a proper place with knowledgeable people who don’t want to rip you off. My machine wasn’t starting, so I took it in for a diagnosis- in 5 minutes the guy had got it to boot up, no charge. I immediately bought a keyboard. Would recommend them before Best Buy.

There’s also a place just round the corner on Republic Road opposite Chase between Republic road and James River, can’t recall the name, but it seemed quite well stocked and the guy - Steve Yates, was very friendly and seemed very professional.

Route 66 pwt clinic on west College st! It’s family owned and Dr. Becky is amazing! She takes care of my 2 doggies and my kitty cat. Affordable, knowledgeable, kind. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

We were at mercy for a suspected appendicitis for my 5yr old a few years back. They told me most likely we would have to go STL or cox as they didn’t have a pediatric surgeon. I was surprised given how “common” that is. However, I was more than ok with that option given the best care for our kids is what everyone wants including the doctors.

Dr Flathers at Angel Animal Hospital is an angel. She’s affordable and thorough. Her staff is helpful too. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
