Cellar + Plate is by Kingdom Coffee and has a good wine selection and a small beer selection, I don’t think they would mind if someone had a laptop out to finish up some work

MudLounge downtown is a good spot. Limited menu, but Kingdom Coffee on Lone Pine has a few drinks they serve though I've never ordered. If you like beer I highly recommend 4by4; dollar off Fridays if you bring your laptop.

"To me that isn't sexual orientation..."

To be fair, she just admitted that she has no idea what that word means. She just thought that it referred to non-straight, non-cis orientations. So she literally doesn't understand why my guy is bringing up Martha Washington.

That's why when he asks if they could theoretically talk about Martha Washington, she says "I don't know." She is STUMPED as to what Martha Washington has to do with this

Her bill is POSITIVELY nonsensical but most of this conversation is too. Just explain to her what it word means, lol

Speaking of do nothing, jeesh you've been defending this for hours, don't you have a job or hobbies?

If you're a underground utility worker I'd say you might have some capacity to speak with the authority you think you have. But obviously "delays" are something that troubles your rigid little perspective. If you're really this upset, stop being a coward and keyboard warrior. Go ask them what the holdup is. And point out while they are working outside you'll be behind your window playing Monday morning quarterback.

Sammy’s Window is a “thrift shop” for foster kids.

Isabel’s House might be interested, they are a crisis nursery - basically, if kids need an emergency place to stay (Mom is getting away from an abusive partner and needs a few days to secure housing, for example), they take them in and care for them until arrangements can be made.

Harmony House is a domestic violence shelter and usually women and kids arrive with not much more than the clothes on their backs - they would probably appreciate them too.
