We could also use them for housing for our vets and seniors.

Get them up to code and use it for affordable housing, cold weather shelters and transitional housing for our TAY aged youth who are in foster care.

Yeah there is a little gravel road that looks like a driveway, it goes right next to someone garage. Off of oak grove road! It’s got a little sign by the road but it’s easily missed!

Thanks for the info! I'm not a pet owner now, but in the past, I've always either taken in strays or directly from someone I knew, so it caught me a bit off-guard.

I'm looking at it on google maps right now and helicopter is all I can think of. There really is no way unless you go straight through someone else's yard. It's got swingsets, I never knew that.
Edit: I just spotted a little gravel drive off of Oak Grove Rd. that goes into the park. Also, I am super burned out at work today.

Duuude! I've lived in Oak Grove for 3 years and never figured out how to get to Lurvey Park.

Hartman Park is one of the tiniest parks. It's down the street from my house, and every time we go there, we are the only people there.

I was once at a light after a beer from the bar and police cut us off. Like sunshine and Campbell. Lady got out of her cop SUV and walked car to car to tell us we'd have to go further down Campbell instead of sunshine. Giant wreck. I said nothing the whole time and nodded then she went to the other car. I was scared there for a minute they were about to test everyone. I'm sure a beer with some nachos over the course of an hour probably in the legal limit. Ate at tacos del Gordo #2 with my brother. Used to go every pay day.
That is to say no but I sure was scared for a nin

Not at all. It’s talking about nuisance properties, and even utilized statistics about the percentage of them that are rental properties.

Isn’t the article specifically talking about abandoned properties, not properties with current occupants?
Edit: nvm, I didn’t get to the rental housing section near the end. I see what you mean.

I have read very convincing studies that show turning derelict properties into housing for the homeless or very low income housing is not great.
These old houses often have a lot of issue that people who aren’t accustomed to maintaining a home or who have access to quite limited resources, just can’t address. These houses just continue to deteriorate into squalor but now with a person in them.
I think in many cases it is cheaper and overall better to knock down the run down house and build a couple of new cottagettes or mini homes on the lot to then use for these purposes.

You mean like that giant abandoned college on Norton and Grant? You'd think the Christian thing to do would be house people but it sits there unused instead.
