OP asked for physicians' opinions. I gave the one I know.

Every time this turns into a debate about "why", though, it just breaks down along religious lines with both sides whining about anecdotes vs evidence.

If I'm like "Mercy has a bunch of religious policies", people are like "no, but my doctor is great and I had a great outcome" or "yeah, they're assholes, and I almost died".

If I'm like "Cox feels impersonal and cold", people are like "no, but my doctor is great and I had a great outcome" or "yeah, they're assholes, and I almost died".

There's no point.

EDIT: to be clear, I don't think they're equivalent. Just that the argument here gets pretty silly.

Don Toño is pretty authentic Norteno food.

La Hacienda and Perches do Jalisco/west coast Mexican very well.

What region of Mexican food are you looking for? Saying “authentic Mexican food” is like saying “authentic American food”

Wish I had a pic of the receipt when they first opened up they had the 18% fee that clearly stated did not go to the waiter, tipping still needed. I was so irritated I never came back.

I’m guessing that did go over well so all of a sudden now “shared”.

Good food, but twice they gave me unauthorized substitutions on my to-go orders.

They also charge you to use your debit or credit card. It's only a couple bucks, but I'd rather pay more for the item than an extra fee.

Went there tonight and our server came by once at the very start of the movie and that was it. Had an order up for at least 45 minutes with no response. I’m assuming they are short staffed because I’ve never had that problem before.

Is that where that went!? I ate there once years ago and the next time I was back it was gone, I'm glad to hear they're still around. I'll have to stop in next time.

Can confirm, this place is as close to "authentic" as you're going to get. Everywhere else you're getting the same salty chicken, cheese, and rice with watery salsa as every other Mexican restaurant. Leslie's though is legit. It's on par with enjoying family dinners with Mexican friends and everyone there was very welcoming and pleasant.

I’ve never directly asked, but they have to make their salsa fresh daily instead of batching, breezing, and thawing…it’s very fresh tasting. As far as texmex goes, it’s good…and the folks who run it are good folks. I shifted what I was eating so I haven’t been there for awhile, but I also recommend them.

Perches is more true to what people in Mexico eat, not the texmex of most “Mexican” restaurants. Just know that they have some common ingredients but are not really the same thing.

I mean people wanted capitalism welcome to capitalism. I visited one of the original Alamo draf houses in Austin Texas. The ones we see today are a like bassackwards vision of what it was supposed to be

I have left .02 as a tip before. At the roost I got the sliders before and ordered an odd number. My last one was like the crusties from the corner of the grill and I confronted the waiter for a replacement. He came back with it and said "we aren't going to charge you, that is the best I can do." I wasn't being unreasonable I just wanted what I ordered, so I left a 2¢ tip and wrote the message "that's the best I can do." I usually tip well over 20% so it's not that I'm cheap with the server, but this has been multiple times in a row that I received sub-par service. What really got me was when he said that's the best I can do, like it was coming out of his paycheck. I just wanted my 1/4 of a burger patty...
