Who hurt you? I've said everywhere else in the thread I'm a design engineer, talked about what it likely is (power supply and/or data connection failure) and am very familiar with all ends of these.

You know, offering more than "that cabinet is just unplugged for whatever reason".

Cute though. ;)

Yup, familiar with them- especially the signature Daktonics dealer treatment. If you're in the industry too, you know how angry whatever middle management is going to be after getting a call from the top with-

"Someone drove by this and called Johnny to say 'Hey, your new sign is broken'. Fix it."

You don’t have a clue. They have been weather proofing it all and there is redundant power supplies, more than likely it is just unplugged for that particular panel. Daktronics did the install and is a leader in these screens.

Not Mexican but don’t sleep on the food truck park’s La Chiva Colombiana. I have Colombian friends that say it’s as good as anything back home.

Well, I posted this because of the LED cabinet failure so soon after he spent a ridiculous sum on this display system, and apparently whoever sold this to him cut corners on proper circuitry design (more expensive when done right), or relatively cheap components. And for a client like this, with the traffic this location sees, it is seemingly indicative of an LED reseller that maximized profits over robust product & design.

That sucks, Johnny. Someone's going to get the whip cracked, or already has.

Yes, you're correct. Dead cabinets/tiles from sub-par data connections or cheap power supplies, merely weeks after completion.

On an installation like this, the design engineer should have accounted for what's called 'redundancy' data connections, so a client (especially like this) never loses a cabinet if something as simple as a CAT5/6 fails.

The huge tile/cabinet failure in the giant LED installation they just finished. Nothing to do with Christmas :/ although I guess that could be said too..? I dont care either way, it's the season for family and loved ones.

Yes, that's what I was posting this for. Nothing to do with Christmas specifically, haha.

I actually work for a Springfield-local LED manufacturer, and it says a lot for data connection and/or tile/cabinet failure so early after a big installation like this.

Summer at Karma Salon is amazing, she's the best stylist I've had. She gave me a great hair cut when I needed help after having covid ended up with a LOT off hair breakage. She shaped my new hair-do to work with what I had going on. Now things are growing back and she is doing a great job with my hair. Also very nice, she doesn't mind ideal chatter or she just as good with letting you seat quietly and enjoy your pampering time. 10/10 would recommend!

Yeah I thought we were looking at dead pixels for a second. My thought was, "Oh dang these screens just got installed, it's a shame a block of the screen is gone." Thinking that the black squares under the word holiday were the focus point of this post.
