Stop by the municipal court and file a citizen's complaint. Provide a copy of the photos and whatever else you've got. No guarantees it will go anywhere, and it's muni court, so the worst that will be done is a low fine and maybe some jail time....but it's something more to do than wait on cops to work on it.

I spend a decent amount of time on i44 and I see angry drivers swerving, honking, flashing lights, tailgating. I’ve passed so many lethal accidents on the road in the last few years and I can only hope it wasn’t because of someone’s mismanaged anger.

Getting there “quicker” is raising your chances of not making it at all. Hope your 3 minute earlier arrival time was worth risking your life and others.

My car has what is called adaptive cruise control and it can also tell the distance between you and the driver in front of you. Adaptive cruise control is when it matches the cars speed in front of you. 120 yards is the limit. Even with 100 yards at 60-70mph, 100 yards is about a 3 second delay which is what's recommended, and not incredibly excessive.

Agree with the left lane opinion though. Unfortunately there's only a few opportunities between the three opportunities of passing where the left lane is even an option.

Ebbett's opened at 9am with some breakfast menu options for a game earlier this week, perhaps they're doing it again for tomorrow's game.

I'm not very familiar with the route from Aurora to Springfield, and I'm not sure what you're driving, but to make a few things clear for anyone:

1. If someone is tailgating you in the left lane then you should not be in the left lane.

2. A following distance of 100 yards is incredibly excessive. Not only is it overkill for braking distance, but there's no possible way you can be maintaining 4 MPH over the speed limit while keeping a following distance of 100 yards.

I'm sure there are people being assholes and driving in an unsafe way, but when there's a pattern of it then it usually means there's some other factor at fault.

Unfortunately the 20 mile drive between Springfield and Aurora only has about 3 miles of 4 lane highway, in which case I'm in the right lane.

People fly by me on National every day going at least 10-15 over after they aggressively tailgate me every day. It’s enraging.

Seems to be an epidemic. So many people on phones and they just zone out while driving.

Weird statement but it’s crazy to think that every adult in these photos are no longer around and if you were like 10 y/o in this photo they’d be turning 79/80 years old!
