Traffic court in Springfield is a dream compared to most places. Nothing in the mail, the date should be on the citation. You will go in, they'll tell you which court room, the judge will call u up and ask if u plead guilty or non. If u plead guilty it's gonna be around $40 in court fees, $60 in fines, and a potential point off your license. You will also have the opportunity to push it out another month, and at that point you'll be able to speak with the prosecutor to try and avoid points off your license. I've lived in more cities than I can count, and this has to b the simplest traffic court I've ever dealt with. Good luck!

Guitar center is selling packages. I want to say it was like 3 lessons for 70 bucks…

I would check with the Burrell pharmacies at Transitions or on Bradford pkwy. They tend to remain well-stocked on psych meds even when typical pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart) have low/no stock.

Edit: Love the anti-Burrell circle-jerk in this sub. Downvote all you want but this has consistently held true, even when we had pandemic related manufacturing/distribution/supply chain issues.

Meanwhile the Turner Center suggestion is upvoted, despite the repeated issues I've known to come from that mismanaged pharmacy.

I say this as a bitter, burned out Burrell employee who laments our organization's leadership. But go ahead and downvote a genuine suggestion trying to help someone. Or maybe pull your biased head out of your ass. Nah, that'll never happen...

Edit 2: Never mind, the Turner Center suggestion is downvoted too now haha

Visit downtown Springfield, Gailey's for Breakfast then next door to the small local art gallery, MudHouse for a coffee. Head over to Glenstone to see Cosmic Fish and around the corner to Kaleidoscope, these are two of area's oldest smoke shops which are really well run and not scary or dirty.
Bass Pro is also pretty cool but it's huge, and there is also a Wonders of Wildlife museum attached to Bass Pro if you have about 3 hours to kill.
If you want to try Springfield's Cashew or Sweet and Sour chicken I would recommend Canton Inn, which is near Bass Pro. Most any of our Cashew Chicken places are pretty good, really. You will see one about every 100 feet. You can get a 1/2 and 1/2 order, which is half sweet and sour, and half cashew chicken if you want to try both.
If you want lunch in Ozark, MO (between Springfield and Branson) try B-52 Restaurant for American, Mundos for Latin food, or the Mill Restaurant (Restaurant made out of an old Mill kind & of pricey). Skip Lambert's, it's over-rated and crowded.
If going to Branson, a day pass for the Christmas Tree and lights at Silver Dollar City is pretty awesome, get some cinnamon bread or a funnel cake while you are there. Or, visit The Landing in Branson, which is nice little shopping strip.

I agree on the tailgating but there is also an infuriating amount of people in this town who also are just going 15-20 in a 35 because they are taking their sweet time. I can follow traffic laws but if you are going this slow and we are legally able to pass you, I'm gonna pass you and if you honk, go fuck yourself and drive the speed limit.

the problem I've noticed is that people will tailgate you in the right lane and not pass, which is generally what OP is talking about. also, of course they'll pass eventually, the problem is the tailgating in the first place, so being like

>they can move to the passing lane. Simple.

is a bit irrelevant in this case

If you would like to apply for the job there are plenty of openings. I don’t agree with your opinion on “redefining the role of police” but it is yours. I think anyone who wants to judge from the outside should at least try to do a ride along. They are incredibly short officers so lower priority calls like theft will be on the back burner while they deal with violent crimes or domestic situations which are very common for Springfield.
