Try El Poblano on Kansas. Ignore the decor, and enjoy the food. Don’t laugh too hard. I loved in Texas for a decade and I’ve been pleasantly surprised the last couple of times I was there.

Also, I like La Paloma on Sunshine.

If you move into problem solve roles or move up, it’s not as monotonous. Otherwise, it is factory work and it can drive you a little crazy sometimes considering Amazon doesn’t even allow just one AirPod in to listen to music. It’s literal torture sometimes without any music or podcasts, but they do have good benefits and the work is easy. I’d try applying after the holiday season for sure. Good luck with everything!

I hear people quit because it's that type of factory work that burns people out but Amazon is one of very few companies that cover an array of transgender surgeries (many of which exceed 10s of thousands of dollars) and after I finish college I'm going to go work at Amazon to get my surgeries. And because of hard these surgeries are for poor people like me to get and so detrimental to my mental health I'll literally work until every bone in my body is broke and my eyes pop out of my skull and explode into confetti. I'll straight up fight the unionist and kiss Bezos shiny gold plated metal ass if that's what it takes. I'll literally do anything.

And then after I have my surgeries done and a lot money saved up I'll leave. But until then I'll work 23.75 hours a fucking day. I've met or known a trans person or two that squandered the gift of Amazon employment because they just didn't like the job. Not me dude I fucking need this 😤😩😭

I would imagine most restaurants right now would take the help for the dinner rush as a line cook, bartender, or even doing dishes. Other than that stores at the mall close by 9 (most workers gone by 9:30, 10ish at the latest) and many of them are hiring although some might just be seasonal.

GSB Arena and their food vendor might be hiring for basketball season, and most of their games are after 5 and let out by 8 or 9pm but it’s not very consistent. Hammons Field might be another option in the spring for baseball games doing similar work.

I’d also check out some temp agencies and the school district for various part time janitorial work as some other mentioned.

Good luck!

If you like Chinese but with some sushi and some real fish sushi, Mikado on S Campbell is my best recommendation. The best time to go is about 1115 on a Sat…you can get all the normal buffet stuff fresh but by the time you are done generally the sushi will all be out. I fill a sushi only plate compared to a decent roll at any true sushi place and the price I pay is…already accounted for…plus all the other Chinese items you already ate. The quality is good, early in the day so it’s not over cooked or sat out too long. Flavor is always good.

That said I’ve stopped eating as much plant oil foods as I can…and lots of American Asian convenient/buffet things are full of it. I might do that twice a year now instead of twice a month as I used to. I encourage anyone to reduce/eliminate plant oils as they are unhealthy.

That's actually horrible advice. Employers rather have a candidate be fully transparent with their availability. Just accepting any old job and hoping it'll later work out is what leads to wasted time and resources.

Employees should seek jobs that fit their personal and family schedules so it leads to long-term employment which benefits both the employer and employee.

I've at at a few that seemed to use very cheap cuts of meat. Either getting small pieces of bone or tendon or something in chicken. They taste the same but if that happens my meal is ruined. I wish I could remember the name of this one to avoid but it eludes me. I don't eat much Chinese.

I'm from Texas and Oklahoms and wish I could taste the appeal of Perches. I tried them a handful of times and wrote them off.

Del Gordo (both locations) has been the most similar to where I'm from and high quality every time I eat with them.

Perches is extremely popular here though and I've not been able to figure out why. They really seem to hold back on the seasoning and I'm a type of person that needs my food to melt my face off, so it's probably just my problem
