I’ll assure you as someone from California there will be no weed tourism from CA or CO to MO lol that would be like Italians flying from Rome to little Italy NY to experience Italian food and we moved here for the lower income and property taxes. The Springfield metro area is not a bad place to live though. Live in the suburbs or one of the surrounding communities and you’ll be fine. Republic is also a nice town just outside Springfield. Nixa and Ozark. Most of the people I grew up with are still here. Which I know is true of a lot of places, but it’s not like people are fleeing because of crime and poverty.

Agreed. No one is going to be able to look out their front door to see any of that though, and the detractors might not be interested in looking any of that up.

Regardless, today is a good day for many reasons.

This. Actually go look at the physical location a place is at prior to sending an email or calling someone about it. No rental place is gonna say “yeah, it’s pretty unsafe here, I wouldn’t keep valuables in your room”
