You clearly don’t understand how screens this big are basically built out of blocks of LEDs…so if a block goes bad you just replace it.

I live 2 blocks away and see the big screen from my back porch. I’m not bothered. The only reason it’s amplified is because of fog recently. You will survive to post more dramatic stuff like an HOA Karen tomm I’m sure.

I'm not particularly concerned about light pollution in general. I'm also not a Bass Pro or Johnny Morris hater. But I do think that sign is pretty damned excessive.

Years ago Battlefield Mall had a marquee sign at Battlefield and Glenstone, and that was deemed too distracting for drivers and removed. The Bass Pro sign is several orders of magnitude beyond that little sign.

In a reated vein, anyone able to recommend a decent antenna for catching broadcast channels? Specifically want KY3 (NBC), KRBK (Fox), and KOLR (CBS) for football games.

I've tried several different cheap antennas, even ones that advertise "long range", and have this maddening issue that like I can get two of the 3 and those 2 change based on which one I use, or which room I have (both rooms by big windows hung in the air and unobstructed). I live in the middle of town near the mall so it's not like out in the sticks.

I don't want any special bells or whistles. It literally needs to pick up those 3 channels. Just for whatever reason, while I can get them all, I can't get them all at the same time without switching antennas and going to a whole ordeal.

You even lock doors while you're home? I leave the front door open whenever I'm home so my cat can give some stink eye to the neighbors cat. He does the same for his cat. Those cats sure hate each other. I usually lock my front door if I'm going to be gone more than a couple hours, and I lock my car overnight but that's about it. Haven't locked the back door in 20 years.

I'm sort of north central/east. I find it funny that this reddit group seems to view the parts of town I'm from as some sort of post apocalyptic wasteland full of meth fueled warlords. I tease my parents about that. They've lived in grant Beach for about 45 years. Also never had any problems. Most of the north side is lower income but that doesn't necessarily mean higher crime. There are certainly bad areas, but they're generally easy to spot and avoid.

In an ironic twist, much of our crime around this part of town takes place in hotels and businesses owned by persons from the subcontinent. My friend Rishi can tell some wild stories about n. Glenstone hotels he's worked at.
