Not every doctor is at the top of the class. Some doctors barely passed. It's still incredibly impressive how quickly AI is advancing.

Because they say efficiency but they're doing really inefficient ways

We really have no idea though. She could easily have another job to go to and is “staying until the summer” because she has to give six months notice, which is common in senior roles.

"be in or move into a sloping position." Is another definition for lean. You can lean in / lean forward to show being more engaged in a conversation or topic.

Have you heard of Enron, or any of the wild west shit that used to happen? It's still acceptable these days, not more acceptable.

People need to understand almost each time these people aren’t voluntarily leaving they are getting laid off but they have the benefit of having the story spun with great PR. I work in the finance dept for a big tech firm and all the C suite that left had severance agreements given to them but they go on slack and give a story that they are stepping down

Yeah right this stuff is so not ready for prime time. All the hype about it “taking yer jerbs” in the foreseeable future is just to discipline labor.

What does "lean in" mean? "Lean" means "to rotate around your bottom", and "in" means "inside"... The phrase makes no sense.

A highly profitable company with billions in cash flow and cash on hand, effectively no debt, and billions of active users is fucked?
Lol.

Not to mention, outside of the very expensive benefits that FB offers, they have very high salaries. The median salary at FB including non tech roles is $240,000. No one complains when they get offered omega bucks ("I know my worth") but it is haram for the company to want more efficiency? 🤔

Reddit moment.
Meta has been practically disneyland for employees the last few years. The employee benefits alone prob cost as much as the median wage + benefits in many other companies. They def have a lot of leeway to improve on efficiency.

No, I’m not claiming X will lead to Y; I’m claiming it isn’t impossible. Also, we aren’t sure what consciousness is or where it’s located outside our own understanding, so how and if it arose is a mystery

The shareholders own the company and the company has whatever duty its owners decide for it and I'm fairly sure none of them think being a charity for tech workers is one of them.

Inside Zuck's own head he's a genius, it's just that the rest of us just haven't realised it yet. It's only outside of it that he's an advertising exec who got lucky that one time.

Reply to comment by STDS13 in Instacart answering fewer questions than ever about puzzling drop in shoppers' pay by KevZero
Underpaid and undervalued are not the same thing.
The system as is does not provide accountability and having a generous tip to begin with does not incentivize the shopper to go down more than a couple of aisles.
We have had multiple orders with InstantCart and almost every order had a handful of items that they couldn’t fulfill but this was like $80 worth of groceries and was unreasonable. (I mean seriously who wouldn’t be upset?) She may have even felt that way because the first thing she said was “Boy they were out of everything tonight.”
We were kind and gracious with our shopper and did not attempt to adjust the tip or complain about the shopper. It was frustrating and an inconvenience to have to go out to get what the shopper missed but it makes me more frustrated to think about people who rely on these services and have to place an additional orders for little things, like feeding your dog or toothpaste (like my partner’s grandma who started using this when she was going through cemo last year and initially why we first gave this service a try).
In the end, we started using order pick up which is 100% the way.

Yeah, but at least a med student is a sentient human being, not a statistical algorithm trying to guess the next word in the sentence blindly.
