Can't the women being targeted, or anyone for that matter, simply file a copyright on their likeness, and then DMCA/sue any company that hosts infringing content?

>the real issue is these lawmakers are mostly bought by corporations
So much this!!! I would go so far as to remove mostly... It is very hard for a honest politician to get elected to do the will of the people who put them in office. They get put in office to do the will of the $$$ that put them in office.

You know thats not going to happen...
People build advance factories for capitalism purpose
I applaud those that offer free artificial body parts... to help those in need
But outside of this. Not sure .. seen technology/AI benefit "everyone"

Just a note they’re only gonna be opening up the chargers they build with public money to non teslas. All the chargers they built out on their own will still be Tesla exclusives

You can… the wording of this was poorly chosen.
Edit: not saying the OP needs to reword it.

The wording of this drives me nuts. It implies you can’t turn a wrench on your own equipment, that’s simply not true. And believe it or not, JD for instance gives you access to fully detailed part schematics. Reword this shit.
Edit: not telling OP to reword it, he his just posting the wording that they use to describe this.

AI could be one of the biggest boons to humanity, just like the internet…
What we need to do stop is using AI specifically to exacerbate inequality both in terms of economics and wellbeing. We essentially need to not let capitalism corrupt the AI space like it corrupts everything else.

Strong AI implies consciousness and self-awareness. This has been the holy grail of AI since the 1970s. Neural networks are function emulators where input produces the desired output. Neural networks use classified or labeled training data and feedback to self correct (back propagation) until their functional output is acceptable. Deep learning and layered networks are leveraging models that were already trained to produce a more complex network. There are several different types of neural networks like convolutional, feed forward, etc. By using a multi model and filtering approaches, models can be combined so that more and more complex tasks can be accomplished. For example, driving involves several models working in concert like one that determines a road type, a few more for feature extraction, etc. Many statistical models such as clustering and regression are called “machine learning” and AI, even though they weren’t when I first learned them. Many of the original AI systems were rules based and were called “expert systems.” However, how these techniques produce outputs is dramatically different than a brain. Mimicking human behavior and capabilities is very different from possessing them like any creature with a brain.

Lobbying is the reason why places like AZ have water leases with middle eastern countries. They get “donations” then they allow foreign countries to grow water intensive crops that screw over the people who actually live there. This is just one example that has nothing to do with the article, but im sure everyone agrees that lobbying is destroying the country. Encourages our leaders to offer up our resources, automotive companies to monopolize maintaining your vehicles, and the military industrial complex to mobilize. Yucky! Follow the money!

No joke. I sold my prius in 2022 (was 10 years old). The problem is that just around the time now is when the battery is due for a failure and that basically totals the car. Though I think the old Nickel batteries are less likely to fail than the lithium ones (though they are heavier).
The thing is... in 12 years new ICE cars won't be sold. Likely still plenty of market for ICE cars used. I think today buying an ICE isn't much of a risk. But the hope is that car companies focus less on ICE investment. Though seeing companies like Mazda really push these engines to the limit in terms of how much energy can be extracted from the gas can be a very useful tech if we can't quite get the infra ready for a fully electric market.
We'll see in 2032 what the practical landscape looks like. but hopefully by then buying an electric will be a no-brainer. But we don't know if Lithium supplies are going to be enough, or if new amazing tech comes out to where battery lifetimes extend by a lot and recycling becomes a solid tech.

The federal government has essentially mandated a standard of CSS with the Infrastructure bill that will have one every 50 miles or less on US interstates.

Honestly I think the federal government should step in and mandate a standard. It's not really any different than going to a gas station and knowing that the premium gas at the shell station is the same premium gas I'm going to get at Chevron. They'll both work for my car.
Any EV should be able to charge at any EV charging station full stop. If we don't mandate a solution, then we'll end up with the equivalent of only being able to put Toyota gas in a Prius, Honda gas in a Civic, Ford gas in an F-150, etc.
