> Putting all the 'culture war' BS aside, it's just not a well constructed show.

Isn't op's main point though that the original Scooby Doo was not a great show either, and that's why the level of vitriol in the criticism strikes him as especially ridiculous?

That might not be true. They could have waited to see the impact on ratings after a few months before deciding if they should be replaced. I don't watch GMA but I heard Robach was very popular.

I don't know people say they were "proud" cheaters or that they were acting smug when they returned to the show after the scandal was revealed. They couldn't exactly cry and get angry on the show. They were filmed without their knowledge. Yes it was stupid to be out in public together but they might have already privately separated from their spouse or at least talked to them about ending the marriage but stayed living together for the sake of the children.

I am disappointed how little "second screening" has been utilized as a tool for television rather than a distraction for viewers.

10 years ago, there was talk of phones and tablets being used as complementary gadgets for watching TV, both as extra information and interaction, but nobody has really mainstreamed this idea yet.

the companies pay massive amounts of money to air commercials during the super bowl. lots of people will be watching and also lots of people will actually be watching the commercials because they expect them to be special. Once the company has decided to pay that huge fee to air their commercial during the super bowl it just makes sense to try and make it as special/memorable as possible and having celebs in it is one way to do that.

This is the correct response

For some reason, OP is doing their best to make racist jokes seem harmless and it's the people that are speaking out against racism and prejudice in the show that are somehow in the wrong

OP compares south parks edgy humor to Velmas and I have to say they come off completely different. South Park clearly makes fun of racism by parodying it and showing ridiculous people in ridiculous situations

Velma doesn't come across as a parody to me. It feels like it's leaning into the "fuck white people" shtick targeting an audience that likes making fun of white people

Dudes got a whole camera crew are you high?

If they are paying livable wages it should be in the ballpark of $200k budget.

At least…….

Equipment, lodging, plane tickets, passports, guides, FOOD…..? Oh yeah and wages?

Can we have Sense8 or Daredevil back?

Show is subpar, to say the least.

Jason Alexander playing George Costanza in Seinfeld. What’s there to say, it was comedy gold.

Terry O'Quinn playing John Locke in LOST. He really was phenomenal in LOST, for me without him the show wouldn’t have been as special as it was.

Bryan Cranston as Walter White in Breaking Bad.
