Psych - that writers room must've been hilarious.
Or Person of Interest, a great show like that probably had a cool writers room

I mean honestly I would not be surprised if the writers room plays madlibs with shit on a dartboard. Let an intern throw a dart and that idea gets used.

I thought they explained that.
Sam thinks Jews make better therapists.

You... you do know that Seinfeld didn't invent the term double dipping, right?

The West Wing. Because we wouldn't be in a room.
All the writing will be done as we endlessly walk various hallways and corridors.
Good exercise.

I don’t think so.
I think it stays the same overall. I was not a fan of the show though.

Though they don't meet the same standard as Frontline docs, if you're looking for something you can watch on YouTube, it's definitely worth subscribing to DW Documentary. DW is German, but these are in English and typically explore global issues. I'd say their efforts are broader than Frontline but not as deep.

That one S5 episode where Edina brought home the wrong baby is a classic for me amongst the earlier ones.

You've already watched the best episode.

It's really not a show for people who can't deal with difficult characters. But it's not a matter of "better," it's a matter of whether your personal tastes fit it. The show's not "bad" somehow for you not vibing with it. Sorry, massive pet peeve.

Best notify my next of kin, this wheel shall explode.
Saffy certainly has awoken a fetish in me for uncomfortable nerdy girls in huge sweaters.

Reply to Actors who were fired from the 1st or 2nd season of a hit show, even though they were good in it. by Lili_Danube
Most of the regular cast of Mork & Mindy after season 1 when ABC forcibly revamped the already successful show to try to attract more younger viewers, a revamp that very badly backfired. Conrad Janis and Elizabeth Kerr as Mindy's father and grandmother respectively were eventually brought back.

Ghosts of Rwanda (2004) - the image of a person’s body caught on a slab of rock in a river has haunted me for years.
The docu sparked my interest in the topic and since then I’ve read 8 to 9 books on the subject, including one where the génocidaires were interviewed*.
Nearly 20 years later it may be outdated, and there could’ve been much more in-depth, but I think it’s a decent place to start.
*Machete Season by Jean Hatzfeld
Edited to add that my username is based on the Canadian UN commander’s infamous “genocide fax” wherein he urged UN action pre-genocide and signed his letter, “Where there’s a will there’s a way. Let’s go!”

I know I'd be terrible at it, but there's a part of me that would love to spend a week writing on SNL. It just seems like such an insane experience.

I don't think you're supposed to like most of the characters, I know I didn't and I still enjoyed the show.
But if you didn't like the first episode you probably won't like the rest either.
