it’s grown on me. it really works well as a binge, since its a continuing story. The biggest issue is that its overly serious. I sort of enjoy that Dr. Song is less of a superman than Dr. Beckett, i think they need to stop spending so much time in the present, but i am enjoying that there are stakes beyond just getting Ben home. I think they needed to explain the new rules more clearly for people who saw the old show.

I might be the only person in the world that thinks this, but I really liked Paul Schneider / Mark Brendanawicz in Parks and Rec. He seemed more "real" to me than his replacements, who were more cartoonish.

Even though the show *in general* got better in season 2 onward, I always wondered what could have been if he had stayed...

Well, they're both similar in the sense that they're both fundamentally about the protagonist's mental trauma, both have unreliable narrators as a result of this psychological trauma, and both are about how one comes to resolve that trauma to finally find peace.

The main difference is that Mr Robot has a lot more action/thriller elements to its plot.
