it’s grown on me. it really works well as a binge, since its a continuing story. The biggest issue is that its overly serious. I sort of enjoy that Dr. Song is less of a superman than Dr. Beckett, i think they need to stop spending so much time in the present, but i am enjoying that there are stakes beyond just getting Ben home. I think they needed to explain the new rules more clearly for people who saw the old show.

Did he ever actually ever say he’s an only child or is it just that Niles was never mentioned? I cannot remember. I know Martin was dead and was a scientist I think and not a cop prior to the show Frasier.

With a special introduction by Tucker Carlson, where he takes the opportunity to whine about, oh I dunno, let’s say McDonald Happy Meal toys.

Clearly it’s in Seinfeld when Kramer’s stance on bathing changes between swearing by cold showers, then only taking baths, and then with normal shower habits outside of the addition of a food disposal.
Very dramatic and consequential with seamlessly integrated changes.

It’s a children showed that’s more written towards the parents who are forced to watch it with their kids.

It's not the fastest show, but it's one of my favorites. The mystery, the intensity, the characters. I personally never got bored with it. It's such a weird show but not in a bad way. I was curious to see what Elliott did next. I will say season 2 is way weaker though. Wouldn't say bad, just a bit annoying at times.

Why couldn't we have done this for emergency siren noises on broadcast radio? That was so aggravating and certainly more dangerous than hearing the EAS tone.

Reply to Serious question, does anyone think AI could replace voice actors that have either passed away or otherwise left a series? by [deleted]
AI is getting crazy, I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they are able to do so, and personally I wouldn't mind if the alternative is a worse recast.

https://youtu.be/WfqoLeDsET0 it’s a very good apology. Probably the best apology conceivable given the situation. Megan called it “a masterclass on how to apologize”.

Reply to Actors who were fired from the 1st or 2nd season of a hit show, even though they were good in it. by Lili_Danube
I might be the only person in the world that thinks this, but I really liked Paul Schneider / Mark Brendanawicz in Parks and Rec. He seemed more "real" to me than his replacements, who were more cartoonish.
Even though the show *in general* got better in season 2 onward, I always wondered what could have been if he had stayed...

Reply to comment by makovince in Should I watch Mr. Robot? I keep hearing it’s one of the best shows ever. by 1000Fatkidz
Well, they're both similar in the sense that they're both fundamentally about the protagonist's mental trauma, both have unreliable narrators as a result of this psychological trauma, and both are about how one comes to resolve that trauma to finally find peace.
The main difference is that Mr Robot has a lot more action/thriller elements to its plot.

I haven’t gotten around looking into this show but hear it being spoken about a lot. I remember hearing about its censorship of certain topics. Are you saying that it’s a children’s show that’s appreciated by adults?
