That's what makes a good retcon. Obi-Wan's dialogue about Anakin and Vader in ANH was meant to be true when it was written, but it still works with the post-Empire story because it makes complete sense that Obi-Wan would want to hide the truth of Luke's heritage from him. Even the way it's acted fits perfectly, with Alec Guiness visibly hesitating before telling the lie. It's so smooth that it's completely believable that it was always the original intention, even though it wasn't.

Where retcons become problematic is when you just have to straight up ignore details that don't fit the later version because they don't make sense anymore.

And really, Hollywood's pretty inconsequential when it comes to nepotism. It's entertainment, who cares if an actor or actress comes from parents who are in the industry? It's already a difficult industry to navigate, so it makes sense that there are family connections built in. Nepotism is a much bigger problem when you are talking about politics or banking or whatever.

This has been a huge problem when watching the NFL on Fox the past few years.

Fox has been using the NFL to advertise their crappy online service Fox Nation, if you watch football, you get a bunch of adverts for Tucker and Kilmeade.

It's gross, but not unexpected from right wing hypocrites who tell athletes to stick to sports while only criticizing LeBron and Serena.

Fox News could face a drop in carriage fees over the next few years as contracts end and fewer people subscribe to cable. It's creating a new group of future insurrectionists

Apparently Avatar the last airbender was found to be more popular with adults so they started writing it for an older audience.

Definitely seems to improve quite a lot from the second season. I've always thought the first season was kind of weak and not as interesting as the following seasons.

It's a show that seems to be about a very narrow topic at the beginning, but progresses to be about almost EVERYTHING. Even characters that are introduced as flat stereotypes are rounded out into complex humans trying to do the best they can, and the show explores big questions about the various crises of the modern age and what we as individuals can really do about them, if anything.

It's one of the rare shows where each episode builds on all the ones before to become even more thought-provoking.
