And the long one after those first three tones.

I recommend starting from the beginning. First season lets you familiarise with the world, the characters and ends in an optimistic place. Season 2 is when I feel the show stops holding your hand and trusts you enough to go darker and weirder.

I live in a college town and every time in September when the new out of state/international students hear the monthly tornado siren test for the first time is a fun explanation.

Yeah exactly. That’s what happens when you have someone in cinema post-production making a trailer edit without understanding broadcast standards.

So we just created the term canceled so people can blame others for the repercussions of their actions. Got it.

I totally forgot those two (three?) years where every show was horny for green initiatives — ‘07ish

Given the story of that movie it makes complete sense to have the tones in it. And a film isn't a broadcast. You know there's no real alert breaking in to the theater screen.
But I guess I can see why you can't have them in the trailer.

A lot of us watched the show and enjoyed it and never once thought anything dirty about the cartoon horses. Like how you watch House and don't want to fuck House.

Asking it a different way I guess, what makes you say she wasn’t canceled? What do you think canceled would have looked like in her case?

I'm pretty sure I've heard drunk driving PSAs or the "click it or ticket" ads (some of which are made *by the government/law enforcement themselves) use sirens.

Yep, I noticed this with The Good Place a few years ago. Entire episodes were completely wrong even though it’s just transcribing English from English. There’s an option to report them though!
I typically watch dubbed anime, but when I watch subbed I don’t take the risk of watching it on Netflix.

I thought it was the tone you hear before the national weather service reports that you can't use. The one with the three short repeats.

I mean she wasn't running it, the actress who plays Darlene does. It was her decision.

Landry kills a guy in Friday Night Lights and they basically erase it from everybody's memory. It was a stupid idea to begin with and the show is a lot better for it.

> Then just say they were fucking fired.
They were fired because they were cancelled. What about that are you not getting?
>Roseanne was FIRED from her job for being a racist, she wasn't canceled.
She was fired because she got the outraged mob after her.

Why can't Hollywood use it, especially given that it would be entirely appropriate within the context of what is going on in Olympus Has Fallen?

I watched Edgerunners with the subtitles and they were completely fine except for episode 3 for some reason. I don't know what happened to them on that episode, but they were bizarrely bad on that one.
> So yeah next question which is closer to the original dialogue, sub or dub?
Subs are the most literal translation and dubs try to also account for mouth movements. (That being said, Netflix sometimes has two subtitle tracks available - one which is that "most literal translation" and one which is closed captions for the dub.)

You don't change your lo-flo shower head with a sand blaster when you move into a new apartment?

I enjoyed the ride and it was certainly pretty unique. It gets a little too convoluted which hinders the storytelling and not all the twists land as hard as they could. I don't know if it ever is as purely fun as that first episode but it gets pretty close. But worth the watch for sure.

If he kept that extreme pressure shower head he bought on the black market he doesn’t have normal shower habits. That thing was from the circus, it was designed for elephants.

You don’t want to see Amazon Prime subtitles, seriously so slow it’s crazy, like 2-3 lines behind where the movie actually is.
