Alright so new day. Turns out we didn’t need to wait. This is old news and Fox already stopped broadcasting this ad. Their line was essentially “Yeah, we kinda have a rule against this and we’re looking into who did this.” Perhaps should be taken with a grain of salt but is still an acceptance that they have to stop.

Which I think is fine. The law makes sense to have. The fine is the gov politely saying “listen here you little shit” and it worked fine.

Edit to include what I read: https://www.insideradio.com/free/fox-sports-admits-it-used-fake-eas-tones-on-radio-as-well-as-tv/article_6b18d2f0-9e1c-11ed-ab28-c7b167cea819.html

It’s the premise of the entire show: how do people deal with tremendous loss? That’s grim. It takes an ages old concept, and applies it in a unique way (instead of war, famine or disease, it’s something supernatural).

It started as an intriguing character study and became a Twilight Zone ripoff, except the wacky, unbelievable shit kept happening to the same characters.

I don’t know anyone who deals with loss by having a dead person in his head, investigating disappearing ponds, or hopping into the death realm not once, but twice. That shit with his dad’s magic song was plenty fucked, too.

By all means, find it incredible. I know you’re not alone and there is zero point arguing taste. I think it was an incredible disaster, and I’m not alone, either.

I'm still a cable person, I grew up with commericals, they just have never bothered me. Again it's just how I grew up, ads are when you ran to the bathroom, got a snack, got stuff done.

And I know there's people that feel that they shouldn't have to pay for ads or that by having ads it turns the whole show into ads but I have way more important stuff to stress about than that so I've never gotten much into it.
