American Gigolo - I managed to watch 3 episodes and decided to stop. I haven't watched the original movie and can't quite tell you what I thought the show was going to be about (besides what's obviously in the name), but this wasn't it. I expected much more. It's got an interesting cast but the writing is pretty dreadful and weak. Made-for-TV-esque. The show is not glam or mysterious, it's just dark and repetitive. You can play that Call me song over and over but there just isn't enough to the story to hold me interested.

It depends what portion of Downton you appreciated most.

I am a huge Downton fan and when I watched the first episode of Bridgerton I was almost scared away, because part of what I loved was the historical accuracy, of which there is exactly zero of in Bridgerton. They didn't really advertise this fact, so it took a little while to get into it but by episode 3 I was really enjoying it.

If you enjoyed the elaborate set pieces, costumes and the drama, you will absolutely love Bridgerton. They have all of that.

Yes but how many times did Picard confide in Data? He mostly confided in Troi, Beverly and Riker. So it was bizarre to me for him in the Picard finale to be like "I've never gotten over your loss my dearest friend"

A stronger way to hang that plot point would've been for Picard to be like "As your captain I've helped shepherd you on your journey to be more human, there's not a more human experience than death I'll be here for you." But they retconned a closeness these two characters never mutually shared on screen before

Peggy spoke to Bobby about sex. Yeah. It showed the absurdity of the anti sex ed crowd.

Most of the race episodes showed blacks as reactionaries. Hank Hill wasn't racist. He was a white conservative. There's a difference.

Confederate flag has been an issue since about 1861. In the 90s, liberals were trying to take it down from statehouses.
