>!Jeevan and Kristen!< in the last episode legit made me cry. I never cry at media like this. I found it full of emotion. Maybe it just hit me at the right moment in my life.

It was because he cut electricity out of his life.

RIP Cindy Williams.
Laverne and Shirley was a huge hit. So big, they made a Saturday morning cartoon out of it.

Reply to What is your favorite making of / behind the scenes feature on a TV show? by No-Pineapple9988
Commentary tracks on the Leverage DVD sets. John Rogers basically decided to make them showrunning master classes. And there's a commentary on every episode.
Followed by the commentary tracks on the 1980s Twilight Zone S1-S2 sets (S3 was a different crew with a different showrunner when the production moved to Canada). My only sadness is that they didn't get GRRM to comment on his episodes so we could hear the story of how the stuntman lost his nose on his adaptation of Zelazny's "Last Defender of Camelot". (I once asked him if that might be why Tyrion loses half his nose in the Battle of the Blackwater (in the books, not the show), and he grinned at me and said, "You might be right about that...")
But the Harlan Ellison commentaries are cherce and solo (he also badmouths Danny Kaye in "Paladin of the Lost Hour", which is fun), while all the other ones are group commentaries. My fave is the one on my favorite episode: "Her Pilgrim Soul" where Philip DeGuere (showrunner) and Wes Craven (director) hear how Alan Brennert came up with the plot [>!it's a ghost story, and Brennert's then-partner had died at the age of 25 of leukemia, and he heard her voice saying "I left you too soon, my darling."!<] and they go, "Man, if that was my connection with the story, I'd never be able to watch it!" Also the part where they admit to being two middle-aged men in tears on a re-view before doing the commentary.

Reply to The Leftovers, season 2, episode 8, is the weirdest hour of television I have EVER watched. That is all. by TimeTraveler3056
Fantastic direction from Craig Zobel, check out Mare of Easttown for more from him if you want. Also co-created Homestar Runner, interestingly enough. Also directed a fantastic episode of Westworld
He also did The Hunt, written by the very same writers as the episode he directed. I thought it was a funny movie, enjoyable at least

A very fun show, easy to watch, wifey and I love it. Dare I say, it's higher on our list than Ted Lasso, just so easy to watch.
Though I have to say, hard to see them dragging it out more than 3 seasons.

What teen drama isn’t also a romance show? This is a pointless and stupid discussion. They’re all teen dramas. They’re also different shows. I agree.

This is the exact show for anyone that laments the modern take on a series, "why does everything have to been a 5 season arc". It's a fun show, it's a good show, and each episode is very self contained.

Yeah I felt the same way. Very little emotional connection to the story or world. I enjoyed moments of the show but on the whole never got into it. Disappointed

Lol. WBD is still one of a handful of big players who greenlight the sort of television that people actually watch and also have decades of production experience unlike Netflix and Amazon, etc…. only a moron wouldn’t want to work with them if offered the chance. Even Lisa Hanawalt would but knows that it isn’t going to happen.

Yes, not a teen drama. It's a kid drama. Lol . With adult humour.

Keeping them in contract for x years get expensive. Most actors also want to move to other roles without being pigeonholed to one for too long.

It’s nothing like White Lotus. It’s funny, sweet and actually quite clever at times. Very easy to watch and imo very easy to enjoy.
